- Sookie babysits Jessica, but things take a difficult turn when Jessica is adamant about confronting her family. Jason makes an impression on Sarah and Steve.
- Having kissed and made up, Sookie and Bill's relationship seems stronger than ever. Bill still has the problem of Jessica, who is proving to be just a bit of a wild child. Clan leader Eric Northman again wants to use Sookie's services. Feeling guilty about her role in having Jessica made into a vampire, Sookie agrees to take her to her home where she promises she just want to see her parents and sister one more time. Things get out of hand when she jumps out of the car and she and Sookie are soon paying a visit. It's left to an outraged Bill to resolve everything. Jason attends the leadership seminar run by the Church of the Sun and makes quite a first impression. Maryann visits Sam Merlotte's bar with interesting effects. She also reminds Sam of just who is the most powerful between them. Lafayette manages to escape from Eric's dungeon but, unable to get away completely, suggests an alternate way out to his captors.—garykmcd
- Eric interrogates Lafayette about Eddie and sends him back to the basement; Lafayette manages to escape, but is wounded in the leg by Ginger that shots him. Sookie and Bill kiss and make up; Sookie befriends Jessica and takes her to see her parents' house. When Jessica decides to visit her family, Bill has to clean the whole mess. Jason participates in a seminar of the church Fellowship of the Sun, disputing the leadership with Luke. - Open with Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) haphazardly tossing a limb from the prisoner he killed, Royce the redneck, at the end of last episode near Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis). He takes Lafayette upstairs for questioning.
Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Bill (Stephen Moyer) discuss their first make-up sex. Bill thinks Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll), as a new vampire, has no humanity, while Sookie thinks she is just being a teenager.
While Pam (Kristin Bauer) does Eric's hair, Lafayette makes it clear he will tell them anything they want to know. Lafayette thinks Jason (Ryan Kwanten) may have taken Eddie (Stephen Root). Pam thinks this is interesting but Eric tells her Sookie is "too important to us." Eric asks about a vampire blood buyer of Lafayette's [e-mail Pussylover] in the Dallas area. An older vampire has gone missing and Eric wants to know if there is any new product floating around. Lafayette has no more info and is taken back down to the dungeon.
On the bus to leadership conference Jason meets Luke, a former football player who has been waiting years for the experience. Luke is shocked to hear Jason has only known about the conference for a few days and was personally invited by Steve (Michael McMillan) and Sarah (Anna Camp).
The morning-after, Tara (Rutina Wesley) asks Eggs (Mehcad Brooks) about himself. He admits to being broke, out of work and possessing a lengthy criminal record.
Sookie sees Jessica's parents on TV asking for information on the return of their daughter. She heads to Gran's room and stares at an old picture of her, Gran and Tara.
Sarah opens the Light of Day conference, passing out silver 'Rings of Honesty.'
Maryann (Michelle Forbes) comes into Merlotte's and grabs a booth. She convinces Sam (Sam Trammell) to let her stay and begins ordering half the menu.
During a game of capture the flag Jason and Luke exchange violent tackles. Jason ends up getting the better of Luke and Sarah seems impressed.
Sookie comes to the bar and we see that Daphne (Ashley Jones) is struggling mightily as a new server.
Lafayette pulls the metal hip replacement out of Royce's corpse and uses it to free himself from his chains.
Tara tells Sookie she is concerned things are almost too good to be true at Maryann's place. Sookie asks Tara to move in with her. On her way out Sookie runs into Maryann. She can hear that Maryann's thoughts are not in a language she recognizes.
On Lafayette's way out of Fangtasia he is stopped by a human employee. She pulls a gun on him, saying she will be killed if she lets him leave. She ends up accidentally shooting him in the leg.
After a performance by Amanda, a Ring of Light-endorsed recording artist, Steve begins an exercise about how to handle a vampire sympathizer. Sarah plays the sympathizer and Jason is grabbed from the crowd to be the good guy.
Sookie finds Jessica alone at Bill's. Jessica misses her parents and sister and eventually talks Sookie into taking her by her house.
Bill is at a department store looking for clothes for Jessica. He turns down a randy female employee's advances. Eric shows up and the two vamps chat.
During the exercise Sarah pretends to be a vampire. This seems to freak out Jason, who breaks a flag pole in half and charges at Sarah. Steve and the rest of the crowd applaud dramatically.
Maryann continues to order food as day turns to night. Andy (Chris Bauer) tells Sam about being taken off the case and Sam is perturbed that several people have begun dancing. Maryann makes her way to the dance floor and seems to draw more and more folks up there.
Eric tells Bill that Godric, a vampire sheriff from Texas has gone missing. Eric wants to take Sookie to Dallas to look for him, mentioning his deal that Sookie help him if he doesn't kill. Bill refuses, to which Eric responds "Poorly played, Bill."
In front of Jessica's house Sookie cries and apologizes for her role in Jessica being taken from her family. Spotting her sister Jessica runs from the car and up to the door. Jessica's mom comes to the door and is overjoyed to see her daughter.
Eggs comes to the bar and tells Tara he wants to be with her. Maryann drags a reluctant Andy to the dance floor.
Luke confronts Jason in the bathroom, saying his being at the conference is a joke. Jason flashes back to nursing Eddie back to health with True Blood.
Sam is upset that Maryann has turned his bar into a sexually-charged dance club. When he threatens her she begins twitching inhumanly and Sam is turned into a dog. Maryann says she can change him whenever she wants.
Jessica's father returns home. He is quickly upset that Jessica left them and starts shaking her. Jessica shows her fangs: "Go ahead, Daddy, get your belt. But this time I'll be ready."
Lafayette is dying in Eric's office. He pleads with them to turn him to a vampire, arguing that he will be a strong bar employee and loyal servant. Eric says "I'll take it under advisement" as the three vampires swarm on top of him.
Jessica is furious at both of her parents; her father for being cruel and her mother for not doing anything about it. She wraps his belt around her father's neck and begins to choke him when Bill appears at the door. Bill talks Jessica's little sister into inviting him in. She does, and Bill throws Sookie out of the house before glaring menacingly at Jessica's father.
