- In January 1980 the S.S. Starclipper, captained by Johan Svensson crashed into and destroyed the bridge Almöbron. Inspector Hallberg from Gothenburg is assigned to work the case and determine whether Svensson is to blame for the tragedy. While researching the 8 victims who fell to their death in the icy waters, Hallberg notices one of the bodies missing, a family man. Before he can draw any conclusions he gets called to a murder that occurred in the same night. Hallberg has to sift through the lies to determine if these events are actually all connected somehow. Captain Svensson retells his side of the story in court, describing the events leading night of the accident, and how he helplessly watched as cars went over the edge of the bridge to their doom. Guilt ridden he blames himself for the 8 deaths. Alexander Hellström is a family man with a dark secret, and he's willing to go far to protect it. But when he brings his revolver to intimidate a spurned lover he loses far more than he thought he could.—Wilco Wilkens
