First Good post-pandemic film
rickyzee-5314927 July 2021
I created an account just to write this review ( I have seen nothing else about it). It really captured the fears, ridiculousness and hope we have all, in our very human ways have tried to hold on to through this scourge. There is no deep message here to be had; merely, people trying to grasp what is happening around them. There is humor, drama, biting commentary and overall good work by everyone involved. Not a 'message' movie- unless the message is, life MUST go on.

Vignettes at a Catholic church in NY during the pandemic.

Warning: Spoilers
Directed by Onur Tukel, a very funny and creative heir apparent to the Woody Allen NY school of filmmaking. Seen a couple other of his movies and they are very good, although this one is better (but he doesn't act in it).

You'd have to WATCH it for awhile to get a point of reference but could even listen to it and be compelling. One of the vignettes stands out from the others, too. Chilling.

Honesty in a world of lies
thejackbandit9 September 2021
The movie through partial humor and honesty show the crazy rules that don't make sense. The COVID-19 pandemic put the world in a spin, but the governmental response though virtue signaling measures shows the significant lack of human connection.

This movie tells a story of 2 priests in the church during the pandemic and the divide that the government put between even friends.
