Have they learned nothing?

Warning: Spoilers
After all the problems caused in previous seasons by rashly using keys, the first thing that happens-rashly using a key. I wish the writers would make the characters a bit wiser. Still enjoying the show, though.

Season 3 , 2 episodes in and definitely flows bettter and more enjoyable than season 2.

They seem to have a good plan to finish the series and tie up the loose ends.

Well done overall and makes you want to keep watching .

This is a promising start

Starting off with mysterious new characters, badass moments, dope fights and great introductions to new keys. This is more enjoyable than the first episode of season two, by far.

Promising start

Great start but I really hate when shows take a character who was 18 in the last season and in the next it's been two months but he's old enough to go to bars.

Episode 1 Review

Well... It was entertaining as usual. But this season is really have a dark tone just like Stranger Things 4.

New Keys, More Darkness, Better Magics than Last Season but still season 2 is my favourite but need to wait and watch.

Ending was a bit shocking and excited.

Great start to the final season

The first episode of season 3 wastes no time dragging us in to the action and tries to keep us entertained at all costs, showing us the potential power the antagonist (Gideon) holds.

It also introduces the characters again in a great way as per a season opener should, showing us the emotional states of our characters, The locke family, who have changed drastically since the second season, in a binge- worthy way

if all the episodes keep at this tempo, the whole season is surely to be more entertaining than the other seasons.

Making the characters stupid to advance the story
jeroen-10630 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, the level of nonsense is up the roof. I can accept alien worlds, unicorns and the most fantastical situations, but it has to be done right or else I cannot suspend disbelief.

Two demonic witches who happen to live inside a glass snow globe get out due to - once again - pure stupidity of the protagonists. They don't deserve to be key holders - they are a huge liability to mankind.

For some reason these witches are drawn to this soldier dude who escaped a collapsing cave with a portal to the demon world.

It's just so ridiculous. How am I supposed to accept that as a realistic setup, an alternative world. How am I supposed to invest in it as a viewer?

Boy, the writers need some help.

Downhill slide

Wellp, it was fun while it lasted. This season kicks off with a thoroughly toothless departure from the source material. Not only does it fail to live up to the books in any way, season 3 comes across as a Disnified, CW version of a show that started out strong in season 1. Characters make assinine choices purely so that a plot can be built around a shallow idea. Nothing has serious consequences. Characters seemingly fail to learn anything from their world, which I suppose is fine since the world itself never follows the very rules it tries to establish. People do moronic things to service a few key scenes which themselves aren't worth the narrative sacrifices. Were these characters to switch places with their comic book counterparts, they would be dispatched by the end of vol.1. Or perhaps not, seeing as they're all gifted with a few healthy layers of plot armour.

A real shame as the actors all continue to do great jobs with the material they've been given and are fantastic at embodying the original characters from the books.
