Hodgins & Fisher claim the remnant of chain mail found was rare, and could only have come from 3 sources due to the rarity of the reproduction. In truth, there are many vendors who have riveted chain mail available in the USA. Riveted chain mail is one of the most popular types of armor in use by many Medieval Reenactment groups.
Most large conventions have some type of props or weapons check for people dressing in costume. This prevents real weapons from being potentially used to harm people. Kendra, as a dealer in the convention, would know that realistic weapons like a metal sword would be against convention rules and could possibly lead to her expulsion from the convention. Additionally, Kroon would be aware of this rule as well and would most likely refuse to look at the sword while in the convention.
Fisher presents a 'pear of anguish' describing it as a medieval torture device, but there is no evidence that such device has been ever used or even existed. The only few accounts written prior to 19th century mention a 'pear shaped mechanism' as a type of gag used by criminals to subdue kidnapped victims.
Booth incorrectly said that Bones had black hair when, in fact her hair is brown. At the time, Booth was taking Vicodin for back pain. The mistake actually served to show the effects of the medication and, perhaps, was not a goof at all.
Bones' description of the correct fighting technique for two-handed swords is completely inaccurate. A grip involving holding a sword over the crossguard was typical for 16th century two-handed swords that had this part of the blade blunt and protected by smaller crossguard above. 'Excalibur' is is more along the lines of a late medieval war sword (sometimes referred as 'one and a half') intended to be wielded by a regular one- or two-handed grip. Holding the sword by sharpened blade would be inefficient and potentially dangerous.
When Booth was saying nothing had better happen to Bones he said her hair was black, when in fact her hair is brown.
