The film's director was highly medicated during the whole production, on a mix of steroids, painkillers and anti-biotics. He was going to film himself smoking real weed during a scene, but he got high moments before shooting it and it made him question the whole film and it's indulgence, triggering not only an existential crisis but a crohn's disease flare up which caused him so much pain he was not even able to record himself.
The director calls this film's genre "real fiction" using self-exploitation as a hook in order to present the audience with bigger questions on both cinema and life itself as well as present his own life as a simulation of itself.
Vocalist Nuno Rodrigues from Portuguese metal band "WAKO" provided music for free to be used on the film.
The movie had no budget and the director was struggling financial due to being on medical leave, that he had to use his hair bands to tie lights to sticks. He then tied his hair using the elastic bands of worn covid-19 disposable masks.
Guitar player Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal was to interrupt production at one point and complain about it but unfortunately he was not available. Nevertheless, he provided assistance on sound-related issues and offered any of his own music to be used on it.
