- A shy door-to-door salesman is traumatized by his bad day and takes it out on a young housewife, irrevocably changing both their lives.
- David, a shy and unsuccessful door-to-door salesman is having a bad day. It's raining, he's working a long street, and the locals are doing their best to make his life hell. In one house, an emotionally unbalanced girl takes a shine to him and tries to stop him from leaving. In another house, a naked couple invite him to join in their sex games and try to take his clothes off. In the next house, a seemingly nice old lady gets him to stick his head into a cupboard full of dead, maggot-infested pigeons. After finding himself dragged into a violent domestic dispute, David retreats to a nearby café, only to receive a phone call from his boss telling him that he has to make at least one sale today or he'll be fired. David's mood changes from trepidation and despair into something much darker. He feels like all the homeowners are conspiring against him. The next one to let him in is going to get it.—Anna Taborska
- David, a shy and unsuccessful door-to-door salesman is having a bad day. Its raining, hes working a long street, and the locals are doing their best to make his life hell.
After finding himself dragged into a violent domestic dispute, David retreats to a nearby cafe, only to receive a phone call from his boss telling him that he has to make at least one sale today or hell be fired.
Davids mood changes from trepidation and despair into something much darker. He feels like all the homeowners are conspiring against him. The next one to let him in is going to get it...
And the next person to let David in is Janine, a young French woman whose bullying and sarcastic husband is out at work. Davids mood is still dark and twisted. Faced with a kind, timid person, he starts a campaign of psychological terror against her.
Just when it seems that he might actually murder her, Janine turns Davids attention to the fact that the rain has stopped. He seems to come back to reality and leaves abruptly.
Once outside, David realises that his unhappiness in his job is making him psychotic, and decides to quit.
The terrifying incident with David also affects Janines life. By standing up to a knife-wielding stranger, she realises that she does have some control over her life, and she exercises this control by walking out on her unhappy marriage.
