Great for the initiated.
This is an extra included with the DVD for "Thank You, Jeeves" and "Step Lively, Jeeves"--two enjoyable B-movies from Twentieth-Century Fox. I particularly enjoyed this short film because I really knew nothing about the creator of the Jeeves and Wooster series, P.G. Wodehouse.
The film was a biography about Woodhouse and consisted of many interviews and photos--all from people who never apparently knew the man personally. One was a man who had written a biography of Wodehouse and I was curious why some of the others appeared in the film--particularly American actor Curtis Armstrong ('Booger' from "Revenge of the Nerds"). Regardless, they all seemed to know quite a bit about the man and the story of his life was full of surprises--particularly about his life during WWII. In some ways, in real life he seemed a bit oblivious--just like his Wooster character! Interesting and well worth seeing for those, like me, unfamiliar with the writer. And, interestingly, I found it more interesting than the feature films on the DVD!
