An intriguing murder mystery begins in style.
Sleepin_Dragon8 January 2018
Guy Foster refuses to accompany wife Melissa to a party, instead he sits down to write. Later that night he gets a call from his wife telling him to join her at the party, where the wealthy Walter Star wants to talk business. When Guy arrives he's met by a grim discovery, a murder.

This is a glorious episode, for my money, Melissa is the best novel from Durbridge, and this is a glorious dramatisation. It starts off particularly well, we're introduced to the main players, all are in character to the book, which is great as they're difficult characters to realise, Felix in particular. It looks wonderful, I love the sixties, the fashions, decor, cars etc. Are glorious. I was surprised to see Brian Wilde as Carter, but he had a definite sympathetic aura which suits the character.

It's no wonders that millions tuned in to watch this, more surprising that I had to import the DVD from Australia, they definitely appreciate a good murder mystery.

9/10.
