Dhyan Sreenivasan should not touch paper to write screenplay. There is no relation in between the film name and the story. The acting and other mannerisms of Thomas are same in all films. Lost interest to see him on screen.

Such a simple movie with so much to offer. Very delicate subject. But i cried in lots of scenes.. Not becoz of sadness.. But seeing the love between the characters. Movies which deliver love between family or friends have always attracted me and i support this kind of movies. I think more of these kinds of movies should come for the new generation.. Apart from knowing the bad things happening in the world the new generation should also watch such movies which delivers the strength of relationships... I was waiting for this kind of movie from such a long time... Very happy that these kind of movies are coming up..

Some rubbish storyline - that is both clueless and meandering.
Add to that, some very mediocre acting. Considering some of the actors have done exemplary performances before, i have to blame direction, script and dialogues.
In the end, there is nothing in the story. That boy Mathew is wasting his time. Same stock expressions that he learnt or applied in Kumblangi Nights. He seriously need to choose movies wisely. There were so many others used and wasted in this movie. Pity Dileesh and Saiju !!

The intensity of the bond between father, mother and children in a small family is rarely seen in today's movies. The joys and sorrows of their little world were absolutely heartwarming. Congratulations to the entire team of "Prakashan Parakkatte ".

Movie is a simple and realistic genre , it's a complete family movie with all the emotions and comic sequences. Enjoyed it . Good casting . Every actors did their best as they could . Movie gives a motivational touch is the ending. It shows the attachment of a father and a son rather than that of love elements . There enough comic sequences. The second half was more interesting as compared to first . There's no fights or violation. It's completely a very normal family entertainment. It will make us emotional and make us to rethink . The story revolves around Prakashan (Dileesh Pothan) his wife Latha (Nisha Sarang) sons Dasan (Mathew Thomas) and Akhil (Ritunjay Sreejith). The narrative brackets a brief period in their life that witnessed some crucial events and turning points. Shaan Rahman's music is entrancing. In fact the movie takes off with a marvellous song. Songs penned by Manu Manjith and B. K Harinarayanan are stupendous.
What save the movie are the performance of the actors, fresh romance and some intense sequences. A simple family drama 'Prakashan Parakkatte' is a realistic take on some of life's genuine moments.

Super film 👏👍 .Recently i didn't see such a family entertainment film like 'Prakashan parakatte'. It's also give a message for every family. I like it 👍. I want to congratulate each and every character in this film. The some situations are really relatable and also touched my heart. Maybe that's why my eyes are got swallen 😂.

It's clear how safe our boys are in our cities when it gets dark,
The film manages to entertain as well as inform.
The film also depicts the mental anguish of our ordinary traders who are stuck in the middle of a new business culture taking root in Kerala.

A filim that has really covered couple of points, that you would see in a low middle class family. (Trueness to exactly what Dyan shared in his interviews).
A thought on few reviews : Although you might find both Dhyan's and Saiju Kurup's character in the filim a bit awkward. I feel it is definitely a character you might see somewhere in Kerala(though may be 1 in many), So never can be considered imaginary.
If you can relate and get the thought that is conveyed throughout the filim, I feel, you can feel the filim worthy.
More a family movie. May feel a bit boring if you are watching with the exuberance of teen age.

Simple movies that tell the life of such an ordinary person are a relief, even in the midst of the clutter of big big budget movies. A small film that can be seen peacefully without any gunfire, smoke or noise.

Its one of the best movie I had seen in recent times and just though of penning some of the things that came to my mind. It talks of a lower middle class family living in Malabar region. It portrays very well the care and affection between the siblings who have got a huge age gap. Love story is beautiful and surreal. It also talks about a rich Malabar friend who just wants to enjoy his life as his future is secured by his dad who works in Gulf. A sudden financial crunch due to medical emergency and how the family takes on and overcome this situation is what the rest of the movie is. Mathew Thomas and Dileesh Pothan has enacted their role beautifully. Its a family entertainer and I recommend everyone to watch this movie.

Story cinematography are good, with wonderful BGM, good for a weekend watch list.. the bonding between family, brothers, inlaws, even fellow local neighborhood friendships.. adds beautiful flavour to the movie. All cast crew assigned have been portrayed their roles wonderfully, keeps hooked to the screen, not boring at any point within the hours.. and usual Keralas natural scenery location spots are used in all the right cutshots.. director has joined pieces masterfully, a little bit of everything, even religious political lines were touched a bit, somehow impressive to the casual cinema viewers..

This is a realistic poignant narration about an ordinary family of limited means, set in a rural community in the verdant foothills of the Western Ghats.
Prakashan (Dileesh Pothen) owns a small convenience shop. He lives in a modest house with his wife Latha, older son Dasan (Mathew Thomas) and much younger son Akhil (Ritunjay Sreejith). Latha's brother the somewhat dubious Kuttan (Saiju Kurup) is mostly in and out of their house as he is spoilt by his sister and sponges off his brother in law, though he is genuinely fond of his nephews.
Das is in PU but though he is intelligent, he lacks ambition and routinely fails a few subjects. Das is at that difficult stage of adolescence and Prakasha tries his best to understand him, while the mother is short tempered with Das though loving to the other child Akhil who is very cute and sweet, loved by all and good at art. Das and Akhil go to school together everyday, which though he loves his kid brother, irritates Das at times. While going in the bus, Das spots a girl Neethu (Malavika) whom he is attracted to. His best friend Anwar (Govind Pai) finds out that Neethu attends a tuition class, so the two of them also go to join that class. The tuition master waives their fees to shut them up as they have seen him misbehaving with some girl students.
All goes quite well until a sudden tragic incident takes place and life is turned upside down for Prakasha's family.

Dileesh Pothen has excelled in his portrayal of Prakashan; every actor has convincingly enacted their role. The cinematography is beautiful, and the film is very well made.
