This film, believe it or not, was made by a high school student for a young film maker competition. Not surprisingly, it's done very well in competitions, as the film has a very professional look to it. The subject of the documentary may seem a bit dull, but the kid manages to make it all seem very noble and moving--a sign of an exceptional film maker.
The subject of the film is one of the last sail makers for the old fashion style windmills that used to be so prevalent in the Netherlands. The man takes great pride in his work and lives a lifestyle that is consistent with his "green" vocation and he narrates this piece about himself.
Well edited and touching--I can't wait to see what Thomas van der Gronde will be doing in the film industry in the future. Wow!
