Everyone working on the film during production was between the ages of 17-24. over 95% were in college.
The character John Maher is named after a friend of writer/director S.Mohen's. His suicide in 2006 is what prompted her to make the film.
The film was shot for a budget roughly between $2,000 - $3,000. Often the crew would break at the Chapman University cafeteria meal times to utilize their meal plans instead of scrounging for Craft Services.
Due to the large majority of people in school, the 33 days of set were shot over a period of two college semesters on weekends.
S.Mohen's college apartment tripled as "Thomas's Basement", "Clarissa's London apartment" and a cut scene in "Margaret's Bedroom".
