WARNING: Do not watch this.

What else can I say? You are really better off tuning your TV to a channel that is nothing but static and fuzz and watching that for 90 min. I watched paint dry once and it was more entertaining.

What this movie was not: This was not a movie about a bunch of flesh eating zombies. It was not a movie about guys fighting against anything. Most importantly it is not entertaining.

What this movie is, is a few guys roaming around a deserted building the whole time. Eventually a half naked man that moves like the ghost from the grudge movie shows up and seems to have the ability to make one guy torture another guy. The end.

Bio-Sucks!

Wow.

What an awful movie. Another PPV where I wasted $3.89 of $3.99. This "horror" movie was about as scary as watching "Care-Bears". I kept waiting and waiting for something scary to materialize but finally gave up after an hour. Nothing that even the filmmakers intended to be scary happens for some 30 minutes. Unless you count catching a glimpse of a bald albino man scary.

You can hardly understand the characters for a lot of the movie because they are wearing gas masks. But what dialog I could catch was silly. They spend a *huge* amount of time walking around a building finding - absolutely nothing of interest.

When you see the bald albino man the filmmakers think it is scary to show some edited cut shots of him opening and closing his mouth. When the actors run away from this guy they run so slowly it's like a fast walk.

Cable PPV is really screwing us. I watched an even worse movie last week called "Hell's Tomb" which made this one almost look fair. This one at least was made with some production values whereas "Hell's Tomb" was made by what looked like high schoolers. Maybe that was being mean to high schoolers.

Avoid this mess. Ditto "Hell's Tomb".

Like a bad film school project
nom_de_guerre200421 August 2009
It's too bad that "Mystery Science Theater 3000" is no longer in production, because "Bio Dead" would have had top billing. The only decent thing about this movie is the premise, which has a rescue team searching for survivors in the aftermath of an apocalyptic biological weapons attack on Los Angeles. *Everything* else -- the acting, the script, the special effects -- is so embarrassingly shoddy that it's hard to imagine how this movie was able to even achieve distribution on video-on-demand. Even the sound is badly done: mood music frequently drowns out the dialogue, people's voices randomly cut in and out as if the boom mike were malfunctioning, and the roar of traffic in supposedly depopulated LA is clearly audible in the outdoor scenes.

These sins might be forgivable if "Bio Dead" had a halfway engaging storyline or some interesting plot twists, but the plot itself is all but nonexistent. It's essentially an hour and a half of guys in Hazmat suits being chased around an empty office building by the ghoul from "Nosferatu" and getting tortured and murdered in various ways. That's it. Nothing is explained, nothing is revealed. It's a completely spoiler-free movie, which is generally not a desirable characteristic in the horror and suspense genres.

If, for some reason, you are absolutely intent on seeing "Bio Dead," make sure somebody else is paying.

Weird and creepy film...Spoilers!
AndyVanScoyoc13 June 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Looking for something decent to watch on Amazon Prime, I came across this film...after turning three others off, within the first five minutes.

Something about this one, held me and I was pleasantly surprised.

First off, the film is just weird...and it's kind of creepy because it looks like it's set in an office building...which isn't creepy.

Not sure exactly what the shadow guy was about, or if he was a hallucination caused by the virus...whatever, he reminded me too much of that freaky thing from that movie in the apartment building...the one with Jennifer Carpenter in it. Can't remember the name of the film, because I despised it THAT much, but the creepy white skinned weird guy at the end was the only good thing about that movie.

The creature in this film reminded me of him.

I watch a LOT of real torture videos and while the torture scene in this film doesn't even rank close to some of the real stuff I've seen, it's at least, original and not overdone.

I liked this movie and don't understand all the bad reviews, except maybe because the movie wasn't non-stop blood, guts and gore from the get-go.

This film isn't spoon fed to you, so I guess if you have to think, that's a detractor for some.

The only gripe I have about this movie is, while wearing the bio hazard suits, the speech is REALLY hard to understand and I caught little to none of the conversations, until the unit removed them later.

But...that could happen in real life, so, no biggie.

Watch it! It's pretty cool. Not great, but definitely better than some of the junk I've seen lately and definitely different.

Worth a watch.

Bio-Dead

Warning: Spoilers
***Spoilers Ahead***Bio-Dead was an awesome movie.I wish I could say it was awesome from start to finish but...... I was hooked right from the beginning, wondering if the team was going to find whatever they were searching for or if whatever it was that was hunting them, would be able to pick them off 1 by 1.I enjoyed the dialogue, banter, the back and forth, whatever you call it between the team members. It felt like an actual work crew and not just a group of actors.I was really into this movie until, The Torture Table. That scene ruined it for me.I didn't see the point of it.Now all of a sudden, the team members that were killed off are coming back as Zombies to torture the members who are still alive? It does pick up again in the end but it really didn't matter anymore. The movie was spoiled for me.I especially liked the mini movie after the movie was over & the credits were rolling.I think it was well done.An ending after the ending? Bio-Dead had potential. It started off awesome, only to be ruined by a pointless scene that was done to show off an unnecessary amount of gore.I would've recommended anybody go see Bio-Dead up until the Torture Table scene but after that, I'm not so sure

Another fearsome blow...
MrGKB21 May 2013
Warning: Spoilers
...to the reputation of my local library system's video buyer, "Bio-Dead" features absolutely nothing worthy of a viewer's time whatsoever. Burdensome dialog, tons of badly-filmed actors running around an empty building in hazmat suits; this is the sort of trash that makes people actually enjoy the dross that folks like Rob Zombie and Eli Roth put out. Trust me, there's nothing in "Bio-Dead" that offers any respite from sheer boredom. Nothing. I am unsurprised that most of the links from this site to external reviews now lead nowhere, and you can bet there's good reason for that. I'm pretty sure I've written the bare minimum by now, so let's just say you've been warned, and if you don't pay attention to that warning, well, you're going to get exactly what you deserve: nothing.

REC reloaded by Resident Evil
Honajz17 October 2010
How to shoot coll and in movie?

Take video-camera and some friend, and go to some abandoned building. Some chasing would be fine, some slobbering - and all these things you have to shoot in dark.

Maybe it's a new trendy - amateur films which want to be cult movies. But you must know something about shooting of movies.

This movie wants to look like movie REC, the story is copied from Resident Evil and thousands of similar stories (you know, zombie vs. people, slaughtering, slasher genre, trying for gore effects, but zero idea on the other hand...).

I think it is a waste of time to see such movies.

This thing is awful
wizard-536 July 2010
I took it off the pay per view the other night and it was so lame and boring I was seriously stunned. Plus, the pay-per-view lied and said something about millions of zombies. I think there were like a dozen or so. Cheesed out and lazy-- but great title! I barely remember anything in it and I saw it like 12 hours ago. I just remember the first 15 minutes is stunningly filmed with dudes in BAD suits mumbling and being ridiculous and illogical. Lighting was bad. Maybe I'm upset because I feel like I got ripped off for $4.99. I might call up my cable company and tell them it didn't play right just to get the credit. It was in some ways an honest mistake... 'Millions of zombies...'

LOL just tried to post this and B-i-o is apparently flagged as a mistake. Ahhh the irony.

Hot guys galore!
jessicadoot22 August 2009
We just rented this movie from Time Warner On Demand. It was a kind of sci-fi horror mix with some really gross scenes in it. Not the greatest movie in the world (probably deserves a 6 out of 10), but I'm giving it a 8 out of 10 rating because the guys in the cast are freaking GORGEOUS! Seriously! Especially the two leads, one of who spends a lot of time in his underwear. I forget his character's name, but he's the leader of the guys. You'll know him when you see him - Trust me! As far as the rest of the movie goes, it takes a while to get going, but once the action starts it pretty much doesn't let up until the end. There's a few creepy parts and LOTS of gross intestines and such. If you don't like looking at intestines, then you're going to be in trouble. And did I mention the cute guys!

Has One Of The Sickest Torture Scenes Ever
sjhadden222 August 2009
Biodead contains one of the sickest torture scene I have ever seen. And believe me, I've seen a ton of torture porn from Hostel to Mark of the Devil to Men Behind the Sun and Ilsa She Wolf of the SS. And this particular torture scene ranks up there with the best of them. Although the John Morghen torture scene from Cannibal Ferox is still the reigning king... if you're a guy, you'll understand why! I won't give away any details of this one though so it won't spoil it for you, but the trailer I saw online does show a few shots from it if you want a tease.

Overall, I think Biodead is a pretty decent movie. I'm deducting a few stars though because the beginning of the movie is pretty boring. Takes about 30 minutes before the good stuff starts.
