A nice playing around with narrative structure as we open with a disaster and then head back to the events leading up to it.Ultimately this is told from the point of view of three women in danger of losing the men they love, Sally, Leah and Martha, and appropriately the episode shows their points of view.
Sally's turning down of Brad's out-of-the-blue proposal is understandable in the circumstances;he handles it badly, springing it on her and expecting her to agree straightaway. It's nice to see Pippa return to help her through it and it's a good idea not to have her appear in the "present" until after we've seen her and Sally's reunion.
Jack and Martha's conflicted views on their divorce work well with Jack once more turning down a chance to get back the woman he loves. Lara playing matchmaker adds an interesting dimension to her character and adds to the bond between her and Jack.
Leah and Dan's plot line works less well since they're not actually part of a major storyline and so we're left with a contrived back story about Leah forgetting their anniversary. It falls a bit flat. But then Colleen's final revelation leaves plenty of mystery for the next episode.
