Never Let Me Go (2010)

Goofs

Never Let Me Go

Edit

Continuity

Tommy runs in the sand out to the wrecked boat on the beach. Soon after, all 3 friends look at the boat, but Tommy's footprints in the sand are gone.
When Kathy and Tommy enter Madame's house, a clock on a shelf says 1:30 pm. When they wait for Madame to return, a clock on the wall behind Kathy and Tommy says 3:30 pm.
In one shot, Rodney's red Volvo Estate has an 'A' registration from 1983-84. In a later shot it has a 'G' registration, meaning it was manufactured in 1989-1990.
During Ruth's operation, the digital clock on the wall reads 1:30 while the mechanical clock reads 1:55.

Anachronisms

In 'Completion - 1994', as Tommy and Kathy walk to the garden gate, a VW Passat from at least 2001 drives past.
When Chrissie, Kathy, Rodney, Ruth, and Tommy look inside the travel bureau to see Ruth's possible, the computer monitors are clearly more modern than 1985.
In an establishing shot of Miss Emily's house in 1994, a blue Citroen Saxo is parked outside the house. They were first sold in England in 1996.
Whilst travelling to Norfolk, in 1985, Rodney's red Volvo is shown to have the number plate "G965 VNK" but 'G' registrations weren't issued until August 1989.

Crew or equipment visible

When the girls are listening outside the classroom, the shadow of the camera's matte box is visible on bottom right of the wall as it moves down the hallway.

Plot holes

All of the donors in the movie appear to begin donating after they're well into early adulthood. In reality, donations could begin while the donors were still in high school, significantly reducing the cost of housing, feeding and providing medical care to the donors. In the US, for example, donations are often made by people under 18.
