No... Just no
mrjoshua-9261011 April 2022
This is at the very best a horrible, terrible, no good, rotten rip off of what Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd has already done except with a modern day woke, divisive twist.

This movie was barren of any humor at all. The acting was... was that even acting?! It was terrible! There is absolutely no entertainment that can possibly be derived from this no budget low quality waste of time. I watched it until the end to give it a fair shake. It didn't even deserve it.

Dreadful and Embarrassing.

I'm at a loss for words, really I am! How does this drivel even get released? It might satisfy the woke brigade but to believe this is giving out a serious message, well...just NO.

Excellent message

This film is all about the message! It's as simple as that!

I found the characters to be believable and the storyline to be 1 of disbelief but that's the whole point right?

Loved it

This was so god I just HAD to write a review. It's the kind of film that you'll either hate or love. Being black in the UK is a start on the road to loving this, otherwise everything will go stright over your head. We have to have a staunch belief in who we are to be able to relate, recognise and empathise with the seriousness and the incredulous humour one can't help but laugh about. This also geared towards the older gen...millenials would most probably take offence to it, not being able to understand it.

10 stars for this heart warming British comedy
rossantonio12 April 2022
An all the way laugh out loud film that pokes fun at British archetypes and finds the soft underbelly of our national compassion. Excellent acting from Tim Faraday playing the racist white guy who wakes up a Black man. Also guest appearance from Peter Andre who does a surprisingly good turn. Watch out for the singing dentist who had me rolling in the aisles. 10 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great fun and a strong message

This film was made on a minuscule budget during the pandemic. It's a comedic look at the bigoted side of Britain. Brilliantly handled, well crafted with some delightful performances. Tim Faraday is both real and brilliantly funny. I hope we see him finally getting the parts he deserves 🙏

Love this British indie film

Great humour and an emotive subject dealt with in a unique and highly watchable way. Tim Faraday is excellent in the lead role. Love the way that on his crazy journey he keeps meeting people with exactly the same views as him so he learns what it's like to be on the other foot.

Fun light-hearted comedy

A good light hearted comedy with an honest view on racism, I enjoyed watching this movie with family and friends... If this sort of movie can open up more minds it's always going to be a good thing, I say make more movies like this.. Well light-hearted comedy with a good message 😊

Great Watch.. Totally Recommend it.
rralloydb11 April 2022
The movie is packed with great acting, lots of funny scenes so it will definitely cheer you up and does not tip toe around the main issue its addressing, "racism" , vs patriotism.

I for one am glad to have spent my time watching it. Its great to see that film makers still make movies that actually teach something other than violence and the 'pride movement'

Great movie! Minus one Unfulfilled setup.

Warning: Spoilers
Great movie!

Acting was on point, pacing was great, and very humorous.

However, this was one of the most disappointing endings I've ever seen. There is a whole subplot setup that one of Billy's white supremacist buddies is the local drug kingpin, and his son, terry, is selling drugs to the black community.

Idk why they didn't lean harder into this. Seemed really important, but only comes up as one inconsequential aspect of a greater overall theme.

I kept expecting Terry's father would stand up and tell Billy to get out, at the end scene, and Billy would call him out as a leader of organized crime; who actually causes the increased use of drugs in black areas.

But it never happened. Maybe someday they'll make a sequel, and I'll get satisfaction...

For this reason, I deducted 2 stars.

My fiancee said it was an apt decision.

Otherwise, flawless movie.

those that say no " Cant handle the truth"

Warning: Spoilers
Spoiler Alert !!

To be honest, the first 10 min of this movie was very hard to swallow. There are a corny parts and some really insulting parts in the church scene. Waking up the color you despise in an exclusive neighborhood, without the privilege of a fair job interview, interaction with law enforcement, or just a walk in the park as a tax paying law abiding citizen shows the mirror that many prefer to ignore. Every group has a less than flattering stereotype, can you handle yours? Is it like walking through a landmine every day of your life? Its so easy to point to the Black- whose next the brown the red head Irish, the Asian? The Italian?

Pollock? It goes on and on. If you have to continue tell everyone that your pretty you must be kinda ugly. Not only on the outside but within too.
