The Finns are getting good at this
pigsmiceandmen8 January 2023
Happy to be the first reviewer and get in ahead of the Tom Cruise crowd who don't understand something so give it three stars. The show has a really different story, very good script. Super strong female performances with a few familiar faces and mixed with new ones. Certainly for me. It has a very real handheld feel about it. Reminded me a lot of The thin blue line. Emmi ParviainenPirkko HämäläinenMaria Heiskanen are all excellent and, with a cameo from Ville Virtanen it's a thrilling watch. Arttu Kapulainen plays a role I've never seen him do before and executes is superbly. I really hope we get to see a season 2...excellent.

Stuck with it
laduqesa23 May 2023
The first couple of episodes were rather slow and complicated. It was hard to collate all the different strands in one's head and imagine how they would come together. And, infuriatingly, dialogue in English was not subtitled. I'm going somewhat deaf and watch English TV with subtitles let alone foreign shows. I only caught about thirty percent of the English words. At least after episode three, there was very little non-Finnish dialogue so subs were provided

This was a tale of derring do on the part of the goodies and double crosses elsewhere where not all was as it seemed.

There was no cliffhanger, so I doubt another season has been slated for production - the ending with the horses happily cantering over fields was just perfect to wrap things up.

I liked this series and am glad I kept watching.

An interesting story that is poorly told
qui_j18 December 2023
This series is a complicated and interesting story that is told in an extremely confusing manner. The first few episodes deal with events that are seemingly unlinked, characters for whom little context is provided and illogical event that just appear to happen in a random fashion. As the series slowly progresses, some of the events become linked, others do not. Continuity of the narrative is often impossible as the scenes are not linked in a linear manner and choppy editing leads to constant gaps in the story. The series makes it appear as if one can just turn up at Finnish factories or places of business and easily wander around asking questions because of a lack in security. Like most Scandinavian series, it also gives the impression that the country is filled with randy old people who constantly spend their time trying to get into one another's knickers! To enjoy this, one cannot be too analytical or expect much in the way of logic!
