I've always been curious,in the scene at Pop Con,when Alex/Selena Gomez was standing behind her brothers at about 6:26-6:31,why was Alex/Selena Gomez hiding her face? It didn't seem to have anything to do with the scene.

I know that many of you who've read my IMDb user comments remember when I described the "American Dragon: Jake Long" episode "The Rotwood Files" as being Pivotal, because I've seen the word misused on comments on IMDb and TV.com for episodes of TV shows that people like more than others. This episode of WoWP is truly pivotal, but it's not as good as I hoped it was going to be.
The episode title is too much of a spoiler, but I'm not complaining about that. It revolves around an upcoming comic book and science-fiction convention, that's also a hangout for other wizards who reveal their presence by using magic. It's also a place where Harper's elaborate homemade fashion sense tends to pay off. But when Alex finally admits she has no interest such affairs, it puts a rift in their friendship. It also doesn't help when the two "Emergency Wizards" from the episode "Alex's Choice" draft the Russo family to stop any "rogue wizards" from exposing the magical world. Here we see Alex's original refusal to go being motivated by something other than her usual selfishness. Nevertheless she ends up going anyway, and tries and fails to hide from Harper, mostly because she uses magic and gets caught. Luckily, she gets away, but in the process of doing so, ends up charming her costume, and giving it away to Harper as a gift. As you'd expect from the series, "charming" something is sure to bring all kinds of far-flung magical chaos. The Russo's and the Emergency Wizards finally succeed in covering up the existence of the magical underground before Alex does what she said she would do, and comes clean about her family. You'd expect it to be a bombshell. The promos made it seem like it could be a bombshell. It isn't.
One reason Harper is one of the better second bananas on The Disney Channel is her anything but subtle crush on Justin. I fool-heartedly wish there would be an episode with a scene where some members of the Russo family walk in on her talking in her sleep, agreeing to have his children, and I still imagine some non-Disney variety shenanigans involving an ad-lib routine between David Henrie and Jennifer Stone during rehearsal that would get big laughs from the cast and crew, much like those portrayed in the made-for-TV biopic on Adam West & Burt Ward in "Batman." I suppose I was expecting something different from Stone. Maybe not something as dramatic as Miranda Cosgrove in the iCarly episode "iChristmas," but different nevertheless. Considering the folklore that Todd J. Greenwald has established around wizardry, the notion that her love for Justin might have a negative impact on his wizard training could've been addressed. I suppose all these issues will be dealt with in due time... maybe.
