....at last !after years and years of nightmare , a descent into hell for an innocent man. The final scene may seem overblown ,but in real life, the old man (now eighty) has forgotten his grandchild ,so it makes sense. He must be a saint;actor Auteuil says he did not know he would have reacted to that.
Keeping the lawyers' interventions to the minimum , it focuses again on Auteuil ,who this time ,seems to have lost any hope and whose only desire is to be transferred to a prison in Corsica where the windows look upon the sea ( one of the inmates ' dream ) ; his wife ,who so far ,had kept a restrained desperate attitude , became combattive and overpowering : " you 're going to write your appeal! No argument!"
I say it again ,it would have been more interesting to develop the so called abused child's father character who seems a selfish indifferent fickle man (the young man tells he did not care about him ,and that's why he invented this awful slander,so as to make the others take pity on him )
All in all ,this is above average netflix stuff ,a quality one is not so often used to.
