- The Past
Young Chris and Keith sit in their bedroom, going through rock albums and listening to a song on the record player. Keith makes the devil symbol with his fingers and tells his younger brother to do it as well, and Chris does. They play air guitar, and one of Auggie's men comes in and tells them that their father is ready for them.
Auggie is outside taking bets, and the two boys come out and walk into a sand pit. The "referee" declares no holds barred, and everyone cheers. The bell sounds and the two of them fight, Auggie egging them on.
The Present
Chris stands in the bathroom and remembers the past, looking at himself in the mirror.
The Past
Chris punches Keith and his older brother goes down. Keith convulses, and Auggie goes to him and realizes that his son is dead. He yells at Chris that he killed his brother.
The Present
As Chris remembers the past, Vigilante knocks on the door and asked him if he's okay. Chris comes out and tells Vigilante that they have to leave, while on the TV Locke says that every policeman in the country has a mandate to find and stop Chris, and Chris figures that Leota planted the diary and he can't trust the team. They go into the next room and discover that Judomaster has escaped. Chris figures that he can't worry about Judomaster now, grabs his gear, and leaves.
White Dragon and his men load the info for all the Peacemaker helmets into a tablet so they can track them, and locate Chris.
As they go through the main room, Chris tells Vigilante that the diary is a fake. John comes in and Chris tells him that he wouldn't write a diary, and that he and Vigilante are going to kill Locke. Eagly goes with them, and John refuses at first but then goes as well.
At her motel room, Leota is watching the press conference on TV when there's a knock at the door. It's Emilia, who figures that Amanda sent Leota there just to plant the diary. Leota admits that she did, and that's why Chris was chosen in the first place. She tells Emilia to back off because Emilia has been screwing with her since the first day Leota got there. Leota snaps at Emilia, who tells Leota that Chris is a fellow soldier. Leota doesn't buy it, and says that she doesn't want to be there so she's leaving. Emilia wonders why Leota came in the first place, and Leota says that she lost her job and Amanda offered her that one. As Emilia works out that Leota is Amanda's daughter, Clemson comes in and tells them that they have to go. Emilia tells him that Leota is Amanda's daughter, and Clemson says that he did a background check on Leota and knows. He also figures that Leota planted the diary, and explains that Locke is his inside man. Clemson figures that Locke is compromised and the Butterflies inherit their hosts' memories, so Locke will know that they're there. He and Emilia leave.
Two frat dudes pull up to a convenience store and run into Judomaster standing outside by the propane tanks. They laugh at Judomaster's height and then go inside.
Emilia calls Chris' phone and gets his voice mail, and says that she wanted to make sure he was okay. She tells him to call her and curses.
Chris, Vigilante, and John drive down the highway, and Chris and Vigilante rock to the music. Several vans with skinheads pick them up with the GPS, while White Dragon flies overhead. He flies down and smashes into the van, knocking it over. White Dragon rips his way in and blasts Chris and Vigilante, and they duck so he misses. Vigilante shoots at him and drive White Dragon back, then tosses down a grenade that blasts White Dragon and the arriving skinhead back. John leads Chris away, and White Dragon recovers while his men track Chris into the nearby woods. They go into the woods, while the injured Vigilante watches them from hiding.
As Chris and John run through the woods, Chris realizes that Auggie and his troops are tracking the GPS in his helmet. Vigilante steals one of their cars and drives off, and White Dragon tells them to ignore it and continue.
The frat boys come out of the 7-11 and Judomaster knocks one of them out. He then takes out the other ones, and the clerk inside gives Judomaster a thumbs-up as Judomaster drives off in their car.
At the motel, Clemson is packing to leave when he hears cars pull up outside. He looks out and sees Song and her men. Emilia is leaving and sees the police pull up and ducks out of sight as they run up to the room and knock on Clemson's door. Leota approaches Emilia from behind.
The skinheads and White Dragon follow the GPs tracker, unaware that Chris tied his helmet to a raccoon. Chris and John are hiding, and Eagly lands next to them and the three head off from the opposite direction of their pursuers.
Vigilante drives down the highway, and the car goes gently off the road as Vigilante passes out from shock.
Clemson ties down the button on his walkie-talkie, tells Emilia and Leota that he was proud to have them on his team, and aims his gun at the door. The police break in, and Clemson shoots and kills several of them, but the others grab him. Song asks Clemson about the cow, and Clemson refuses to talk. Song shoos Clemson dead, and says that they have to get the teleportation equipment to the ranch. The Butterfly climbs out of Clemson's mouth and tries to fly away, and Song grabs and crushes it. Fitzgibbons stares in shock at Song having murdered one of their own, and she tells him that their enemy was a warrior, and without them Clemson's warriors will have no chance of stopping them. Song and her men leave, and Emilia and Leota go into the motel room and confirm Clemson is dead. Emilia finds the Butterfly and cradles it in her hands, and it dies. Judomaster comes in and kicks Emilia down and Leota down. Emilia recovers and fights Judomaster hand-to-hand, and as he takes her down, Leota tasers him from behind.
White Dragon and his men find the GPS bearer in a grove of trees, and move in. They find the raccoon with the helmet, and White Dragon tells his men to fan out and finds Chris. The woman with the tablet says that she has something.
Chris and John find Vigilante and wake him up, then get into the car. Eagly keeps pecking at John, and Chris drives the car off. Vigilante admits that he has a duffle with the helmet in the back that he kept because he thought they were expensive. Chris pulls over, and Vigilante runs into the woods while Chris goes the opposite direction with the duffle. John tries to get Eagly back in the car, while Chris throw the duffle into a field. The skinheads arrive and chase Chris to the car, and John sees them coming and crawls into the backseat and out the other side, then into the woods. Meanwhile, the skinheads grab Chris and beat him.
John crawls into the woods and finds Vigilante urinating.
Eagly helps Chris fight back, and White Dragon arrives and knocks Eagly down when the eagle attacks him. Chris tackles White Dragon and vows to kill him, and White Dragon blasts his son away. White Dragon says he was too weak to kill Chris 40 years ago, but no more. Vigilante leaps on White Dragon, finds a gap in the villain's armor, and yells to Chris that there are gaps in the armor. White Dragon throws Vigilante away and the skinheads prepare to shoot Vigilante. John comes out with a semi-auto and shoots the skinheads, while White Dragon discovers that Vigilante has shorted out his blasters.
Chris tackles Auggie, knocks off his armor, and beats his father, yelling that Auggie kills Keith. He says that he should have killed Auggie in his sleep years ago, and Auggie laughs at his son. Chris picks up a Luger from one of the dead Skinheads and aims at Auggie, who dares Chris to shoot but figures that he can't. He says that he control Chris whether he's alive or dead, and Chris will never be able to get away from him. Chris shoots Auggie dead, and then falls to his knees and breaks into tears. John points out to Vigilante that Chris is crying, not doing facial exercises, and Vigilante tries to Pat Chris sympathetically on the shoulder but just looks creepy.
Leota calls Keeya and tells her wife that she needs to fill out some forms and can't leave yet. Once she hangs up, she help Emilia with cleaning her face wounds, and Leota explains that she used work at a dog shelter until it lost finding, and Amanda took advantage of her weakness, and asked Leota to come work for her. She admits that she didn't tell her mother about Clemson, and tells Emilia that she was going to leave because she didn't want to do the job anymore. Emilia tells Leota that her leaving would be a shame, because Leota is good at the job and they need everyone to kill the cow. As Leota points out that they can't get there in time, John calls Emilia.
Later, Emilia and Leota drive to a pet shelter. John lets them in and explains that one vet is stitching up Eagly, and Vigilante is ready to kill the others. Vigilante is holding a gun on the staff members, and says that they saw him and Chris, and they're wanted. John asks Emilia if they have to kill them, and Emilia says that they'll tie them up. Keeya calls Leota, who steps into the hallway to take the call, and she sees Chris in a room holding Eagly and praying to God. Eagly wakes up and hugs Chris, as Leota stares in astonishment. As she walks away, Chris takes a selfie.
Leota calls Keeya and tells her what she saw, and figures that it's a sign. Later, she joins the others and says that they should kill the cow, and Keeya is upset but gets it. She suggests that Emilia lead them, and the others agree. Emilia reviews what they know about the cow, and figures the others will move the cow before they can get there.
Song and the others go to the ranch and unload a teleportation device.
Emilia figures the Butterflies will teleport the cow to another of their enclaves, so the team will have to make it to the ranch before the Butterflies make their move. Chris says that he's in, and the others echo his sentiments... even the veterinary staff. The team goes out to their van and drive to the ranch. Vigilante feed Eagly chips, and Leota apologizes to Chris for what she did. He tells her that he doesn't care, and once it's over he'll go his own way. John turns up the radio so everyone can rock, and Emilia smiles.
At the ranch, the Butterflies milk the cow: a gigantic alien creature.
