John Cena can act
ahk-3771420 January 2022
John Cena is the third actor to come out if the WWE and have success in the acting industry, but hasn't reached the levels of Dave Bautista or Dwayne Johnson, but this show genuinely showcases how much of a great actor Cena is. Not only is his comedy execution brilliant, but his emotional scenes are beautifully acted. When he started dancing, thinking about his brother and then fell to the ground and started crying, it was just wonderful. I'm soo happy for all his success in this show and he really has proved himself, the shows is soo good. Everyone in the show is soo wonderfully cast. It's just pure brilliance from Gunn.

Batman & Robin but make it lunatic
Couchkik2020 January 2022
Definitely obsessed with the psycho Batman & Robin this show is turning into. Vigilante is a scene stealer.

How can a superhero show be this good with just a couple of fight scenes including one in a drab parking lot? Excellent writing and characterization. The father/ son sweet talks (and typically a favorite of James Gunn) hit hard and reveal layers inside Peacemaker's cartoony persona.

Love it.

James Gunn not coming slow
junaidbadar-1625320 January 2022
Another fun episode with lots of cool action. Kinda dig how they explored the deeper friendship of Vigilante & Peacemaker. Danielle delivered pretty good performance. Jennifer holland stole every scene she was in. Humor, Chemistry & soundtrack of this show is awesome. JohnCena was phenomenal in the final moments. That reveal was quite shocking.

This episode was more focused on exploring characters, their past & vulnerabilities. Good character development but story didn't move forward. Nonetheless, Good 45 mins.

Definitely *NOT* A Filler Episode
the_nephilim7120 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This was the best episode so far! Finding out more about Peacemaker and his relationship with his father was pretty emotional for this show. The scenes with Peacemaker and Vigilante just keep getting better and funnier. The banter between the two is some of the funniest TV I've heard in a long time. The two actors really play well off of each other. Vigilante's trip to jail hilarious also.

PS: Vigilante needs a spinoff!

what a emotional ride!!! NOT A FILLER
spxd20 January 2022
There is lot of insides on the background of the main characters. This is NOT A Filler but a setup for a character arc of many characters, like peacemaker's father, peacemaker himself. Here we also see leota's role in the show and whole lot more!

When james gun told the show is going many places, from first 3 episodes never thought the show is going to go dark as in drama. Gun also said not to drop all 8 episodes at once to hbo, now I understand why. People would have misinterpreted the series in a binge watch. Someone is already labelling this episode as a filler, when this is about the motivation and laying the building ground for the reason of their actions.

It keeps getting better !

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is insanely good. So well directed, written and paced. The amount of fun is still flowing like ever, but this time around we get even more emotion and depth. Freddie Stroma gets to act mask off in this one, and boy is his performance impactful. The superposition, at the end, with the song and all the events going on, with a glimpse from the past, showing what happened in Chris's childhood is oddly beautiful and tragic at the same time. Harcourt, Economos, Leota and everyone else still get their time to shine and develop. Nobody seems sidelined and all the actors have something to do and to work with. And of course, Murn's reveal at the end is well crafted, and gets us ready for the next episode. You don't expect it until right before, and it's pretty insane to see. Once again, a wonderful episode, and one of the best so far.

I'm committed now
nfunkhouser-0614720 January 2022
I really was on the fence about this series when it started but this is the episode that got me to commit for the season. It has heart, humor, and provides a ton of character development for Peacemaker and the daughter of Amanda Waller. Can't wait to see how they expand on it.

Good fun and some emotional moments.

Warning: Spoilers
Vigilante gets to shine in this one. His taunts are stellar and his devil may care attitude works like a charm.

I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but John Cena is really good actor. Furthermore, he shows that he is able to deliver in more serious scenes as well.

Can't wait for the next episode!

Totally not a filler.
wetmars21 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Okay. There isn't much to say about this, but I will say that I was entertained by the compelling character drama with some unique character development/exploration like Vigilante and his friendship with Chris which is brilliantly written and eases the pace. The action scene in the parking lot was cool with the two taunting each other using personal insults, lol. With that aside, Chris had a really fricked-up childhood. It was nice to see deeper themes like that in a dramatization. I honestly thought this was going to be an adventurous show with comedy, but Nah. It's going dark which I am perfectly fine with. The other characters had good screentime. We got two things coming. Chris' dad is going to tell some Detective about the truth, and THE LEADER IS A BUTTERFLY! As I said, there isn't much to say about this. I do wish I had more words, but I just can't. Maybe I'm having writer's block? Oh no.

10/10.

House of Pain
dannylee-7808221 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Peacemaker finds out his dad is in jail, Vigilante goes in to jail to kill Peacemaker's dad, but fails. Judomaster escapes but is shot by Adebayo. We also end the episode with a big reveal - Murn is a butterfly himself.

At first, this episode felt like a filler to be honest. In my head, there wasn't a lot of plot development because I set the focus on the mission of Project Butterfly. But this episode proved that the show has spectrum by showcasing some emotional depth. While keeping its edgy, funny and clever dialogues, it explored deeper into Peacemaker and his father's relationship. I am not sure if it was done in the best way but definitely invested some time to develop the characters which is something that is hard to expect in constant brain-bashing violence.

Overall, a decent episode with some depth to it.

Astonishing
alexacosta9820 January 2022
Another well written and full of emotion chapter. James Gunn is a genius and knows how to create that slow paced but still interesting story that is hilarious in its own way.

Solid
imxhill22 January 2022
I overall thought this was an another solid episode.

I think it may have something to do with the fact that James Gunn did not direct this episode, but sometimes I could feel the length of it.

Maybe it is a script thing but whatever.

The montage of Peacemaker dancing and having a flashback was kinda emotional, Cena did well and made me like the character a little bit more.

Vigilante was great in this episode.

Now we are halfway through the show, I hope it continues to be good,(hopefully gets better) and I am looking forward to next episodes.

Filler episode, one fight scene and a lot of heart
sahil-masrur78620 January 2022
This episode is bit slower than previous week, doesn't progress much on the main plot, but does give us inside about Peacemaker and John Cena is killing it. Also loving Adrian Chase character.

"He is out of line but he is right" is exactly my thoughts on whatever Peacemaker said about Batman.

Music Montages.
Mhump2324 January 2022
I love music montages, but 3 or 4 per episode they get pretty freakin' old. JG used music creatively in Guardians. This nonsense is starting to make a half decent show look like VH1 music blocks.

Super funny
instapowah20 January 2022
I loved this episode. It was making fun of it self in an excellent way. Also character driven in many ways. It did not give us much as in the main plot of the butterflies though. Im really looking forward to next weeks episode now. This was the best episode so far in my oppinion.

Awesome
crisuarez-6330120 January 2022
James Gunn really knows how to get into your emotions. It's awesome how it's shown the way Rick Flag's homicide is still messing Peacemaker's head. Maybe the plot twist was a little bit announced from the beginning. Waiting for the next episode!

Good flashbacks, funny callouts, good involvement and impactful scenes make this a great episode, it's got a little bit of everything and nothing seems out of place.

Improvements in some areas, new problems in others
joshculusbruh20 January 2022
This episode feels a little different from the previous 3, maybe because it's directed by a different person but it's still great. The action is the best so far, it's incredible. There are less funny parts but the few funny parts are really funny. Some emotional moments don't work for me and others do. I'm still very excited for the next episode though, vigilante keeps getting better and better also.

John Cena - that's enough for me
Brolinit24 January 2022
Seriously am I the only one who comprehends the complexity of this cinematic masterpiece?

Jokes aside, any living been would think a John Cena or any other famous wrestlers show would be trash.

Thursday boys, we keep eating. Hope it stays as consistent.

This very well may be my favorite new show
SebasSebas21 January 2022
A lot of dark humor on the show. Think deadpool. Not really a fan of superheroe movies. Unable to get past first ten minutes of most except maye nolan's trilogy, deadpool and a couple of spidermans. Gave this show a try and liked it enough to keep going, but this episode...all I can say it has been a long time since I rewatched an episode immediately after seeing it. Give it a try.

The Choad Less Traveled
Prismark1019 February 2022
I swear this is not a filler episode. No siree, totally not a filler.

Actually more filler here than Kylie Jenner.

It is the aftermath of the botched assassination job.

Peacemaker finds out that his dad Auggie is in jail. He is angry with Murn for not telling him about it.

Meanwhile Vigilante is manipulated to get arrested so he can go into jail and kill Auggie.

Judomaster makes a quick recovery and escapes. He also reveals something important about the Butterfly people.

It sets up a conspiracy, one where Murn has a part to play in.

This was a more character based episode both for Peacemaker and Vigilante.

For Peacemaker it is about his daddy issues and what happened to his brother. It does lack the frenetic action of the previous episodes.

A lot of nuggets and development to suffice the little action scenes
michiganave_p22 January 2022
Episode was pretty good; a lot more questions got answered this week compared to the first three episodes. There was only one fight scene with two others that had a little action, as this was mostly dialogue.

I did wish HBO/Max/Gunn/DC/WB/ATT media would release more than one episode a week. This one-per-week is a miserable slow drip, but I did like the 3-a-week pace like during the week before.

The final scene was really good though. Like an 80's music video packed with a lot of answers about what is going on in the series so far.

FINALY...
forpassord14 April 2022
...some plot and background. The third episode finally had more than just a little bit of action, and this episode finally had more than just a little bit of plot. The episode still contained bad and stupid humor, but this was not the worst episode so far all in all. She scene with the sharing around the table was actually LOL funny :-) !

JUST FOR THAT PRISON SCENE
amanteotia-1157618 February 2022
Overall, the episode has a slower pace around this time and it's an 8.5. But I am giving it a 9 just for that Prison Scene. Not gonna spoil anything but that scene and the twist at the end cover up for the whole episode.

I really liked this episode
18Buddha22 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It had some funny moments and also some very interesting things we learn and see.

The first thing was wow We learn Vigilante is Adrian chase! If u watched Green Arrow u will rmb their version of Adrian chase was a badass ninja basically that was equal to Oliver Queen in every way of fighting capabilities & was a serious threat as well as being the Distract Attorney of Star City thats able to attack u with the Law in the day & strike u as Vigilante in the night.

This version of Adrian Chase in Peacemaker is less intelligent but retains some deadliness in his readiness to kill but the difference here is he kills bad guys only unlike the Arrowverse version of him.

I liked how they incorporated the flashbacks of Peacemakers childhood quickly.

I also enjoyed when he hot boxed the smoke into the jar with the Butterfly lmao. That was funny.
