Strong show to finish the year on
gridoon202427 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
All the matches deliver, except maybe Sasha Banks vs. Carmella, and even that is OK. They are well-booked and well-timed, in the sense that, although most of the outcomes are very predictable, the matches manage to create doubt where there shouldn't be any. Charlotte's return is most welcome (she always brings her A-game); Roman Reigns' heelish reinvention continues to work wonders for his character, to the point where his limited moveset seems irrelevant now. The finale is silly, memorable, hilarious. 7.5/10 on the whole.

What a PPV

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't see kickoff show that's why not gonna say anything about it.

The opening match was for the WWE title. It is always good to see the show starts with a good match and ba gawd the match was awesome. Maybe I would've enjoyed the match even more if it was a traditional one on one match. Because they are very talented and can do better in a wrestling match. At first, AJ Styles did a very good job by taking out Drew McIntyre's left leg. I predicted that Drew would win but Miz's cashing in had me worried. I was on the edge of my seats on the last few minutes of the match. I was so happy to see Drew retaining. The best WWE champion WWE has had in years. He doesn't have any bad match and this one was awesome. I gotta talk about OMOS. This is the first time we saw him on action. No doubt that he will be a force to be reckoned with. The chair broke !

The next match was Smackdown Women's title match. It's hard to be excited for a match that is after an exciting match but this one reached higher than my expectations. This maybe Carmella's best single match ever. The pinning combinations of this match was good. Sasha Banks proved yet again that she is one of the best women's wrestler in WWE. The buildup of this match wasnt really good but the match was so much better.

I don't think that The New Day and The Hurt Business can have a bad match against each other. This was maybe their 3rd or 4th encounter and all of them were good. Hurt Business really deserved the title. They have been so good for months now. I dont know why Cedric Alexander is doing what he is doing. If Cedric Alexander hadn't put away Shelton Benjamin after that tag, that would lead the breakup of The Hurt Business. Because he has been acting so weird lately especially after winning matches. The Hurt Business is one of the best things on RAW of 2020. They deserved the title.

Who else would it be if it wasn't gonna be Charlotte Asuka's mystery tag partner. I predicted it. Charlotte being her partner makes sense because she was taken out by Nia Jax a few months ago. I didn't think they were gonna win. The match was fine but if it was Lana insted of Charlotte it would have made more sense but Lana being her partner has a less chance of winning.

Nowadays we all know that Roman Reigns would do anything to win but so was Kevin Owens in this match. He almost won the title here but we all knew that Jey Uso would help Roman Reigns. If he hadn't Roman Reigns would kick him out of the family. Anything involving Roman Reigns is just great nowadays. His heel character is the best thing that could happen to him. The fans have been wanting to see this character of Reigns for years now. How can you not hate this guy ? His heel persona has been so good. Every match of his involves good story and good actions as well. You can't take anything away from Owens as well. The way it started the match was a very wise decision by KO. They used the toys very well. I mean they should. It's a TLC match. At one point he almost won the title. If you watched the match then you know that he meant every word on Smackdown when he had said that he would die trying. This was the match of the night.

I was shocked to see The Firefly Inferno Match as the main event. I thought it would the Universal title match. The match was very weird but in a good way. The Fiend summoning the inferno was a good sight to see. The Fiend tried to kill Orton a couple of times. This was no wrestling match. I don't exactly know how you would even rate an inferno match. I don't know if you are gonna believe me but i actually predicted that Randy would win this match given the fact that you wouldn't have to pin or submit your opponent. The Fiend can't take a pinfall loss in this match but Randy needed momentum. He was losing his momentum since losing to Drew McIntyre on RAW. This is one of his best years in his career. That's why he couldn't lose. I don't even know what to say about Randy burning The Fiend alive. No doubt that the feud is gonna continue and I wouldn't mind that. I wouldn't be shocked if we see him "Bray Wyatt" on RAW tomorrow night given the fact that technically it was The Fiend that got burned alive. It would make sense more if The Fiend shows up to haunt Randy Orton 2 or 3 weeks later.

Thanks for reading.
