In real iife, "Marie" was actually Intersex and had been raised as a girl. He was legally declared to be a man by a German court, and his first name was changed to Hermann. He was also permanently barred from sports and his records and medal were stricken.
The steam engine 52 6106 was not built before 1943, class 50/52 locomotives were built starting 1939.
