Jason Statham in Blitz (2011)

Goofs

Continuity

When Brant & Nash first visit Barry Weiss' flat, Barry goes up a small flight of steps and turns 90 degrees to the right to the front door, yet when Brant & Nash are leaving Barry's flat, the view looking up the stairs shows the front door now at the top of the stairs, without the previous 90 degree turn. This is obviously a completely different flat. This mistake happens again later on in the film when Barry Weiss is leaving his flat.
Jason's character confronts the bad guy with the SIG Sauer 9mm handgun used throughout the movie. When Jason fires the gun it has turned into a revolver. Assuming the SIG was a non-firing replica and the only gun on hand to fire blanks was a revolver.
At the beginning, when they are in the bar, not only does the amount of beer in the glass change but as the camera shot changes the glass switches between the table and Brant's hand.
When Porter Nash is introduced to the force, the Superintendent lifts up a newspaper explaining that they are already under a media frenzy. The newspaper says that a second officer has already been shot dead before it actually happens in the film.
When Brant is chasing Weiss, they pass a man wearing a green and blue sweater, but when Weiss and Brant jump over the railing, the man in the sweater is between them.

Factual errors

In a shot of the Police Station it says "London Police" on the front, the two police forces in London are the City of London Police and the Metropolitan Police Service.
During the chase through West London which reaches a train depot north of Paddington, Southern Railways operated trains can be seen which do not operate out of Paddington station. Similarly in the depot, third rail operated electric class 313 trains are seen which do not operate from Paddington.
None of the black police cars display the name of their bureau or city, only 'police' and a three-digit vehicle number.
Near the midpoint, when Falls meets with Stokes, at one point, the camera focuses on her hands holding her mug of tea. Her fingernails are shown to be over one-half long. Police regulations generally limit fingernails for both male and female officers to be 1/4 inch past the fingertip. This is a safety measure. Longer nails may impede an officer's ability to properly operate issued weapons and handcuffs.

Revealing mistakes

When Brant and Nash knocked on Weiss' door, he was naked in bed. He had only his pants and unbuttoned shirt on when he went out the window. When released from jail, he was handed his leather coat and the envelope of cash, neither of which he had when he was arrested.

Miscellaneous

When Radnor goes into the bathroom the brown envelope which Weiss steals after killing Radnor, the newspaper journalist, Dunlop, tells Brant & Nash about this. When Weiss is subsequently arrested with the envelope of cash, fingerprints would show Dunlop, Radnor, and Weiss had handled it, tying Weiss to Radnor's murder and giving them the connection to hold Weiss for questioning.

He *was* held for questioning, then released.
When Brant Jason Statham chases Weiss to the train depot, as the police officers are restraining Brant to stop him from assaulting the suspect, Nash Paddy Considine refers to Statham by his real name.

Misheard line. He said "just calm (down)", not "Jason".
After being introduced to the "troops" at the station, when Nash arrives at his house and enters the kitchen, he is wearing an overcoat. As the camera changes shots, the overcoat is gone and he has a regular jacket on.

He walked in and emptied the pockets of the overcoat preparatory to taking it off, which he did off camera on his way to the kitchen. The jacket was under the overcoat, obviously.
After the murder of the female police officer, the reporter says that she died instantly, even though she was choking on her own blood for nearly 20 seconds.

Aside from being sensitive and not reporting gruesome details, (that nobody witnessed), she didn't witness it either. She couldn't very well report what she didn't know about.
When Weiss gets into the cab he sits with his back to the driver. In the next half-second long shot, the cab is seen with the only passenger in the back sitting facing the driver, but in the next shot Weiss is again sitting with his back to the driver.

Plot holes

When they have Weiss in custody and they comment on the limited evidence they have in order to charge him, they completely ignore that Falls could have positively identified him from the attack on her doorstep. Weiss' face was in plain view to Falls as she saw him stomp on the neck of the young boy.
In the parking garage, the killer watches Radnor and Dunlop drive off together. In the next scene, he's spying on them in a bar. But there was no way he could've known where they were going, and he couldn't have followed them because he had stayed in the garage for a period to remove items from the derelict car.

Character error

A little past the halfway mark, after Dunlop is shown the gun, police officer's hat, etc. in the boot of the car, he doesn't need Radnor anymore. All he had to do was find the person associated with the car, which should be easy for a reporter, since the license plate was right there under his nose. Radnor should have also thought of this, considering how careful he was about the amount of money in the envelope.
