"Magoo's Jackpot" is a partially amusing episode of the "Mister Magoo" show
Just watched this Mister Magoo cartoon on YouTube as linked from the Saturday Morning Blog. In this one, the near-sighted man mistakes a Wide Sands Rocket Reservation for the Sands gambling casino in Las Vegas. He only manages to get in because the guard at the gate sees the suitcase on his car say Senator (aparently he missed the word "Hotel" that comes after that). Anyway, the head guy-a Mr. Forthright-wants to get rid of three rockets that he calls "lemons". When Mr. Magoo comes in, well, let's just say he never realizes, as always, the error of his ways...This was one of several Magoo cartoons made for television by UPA after they ceased theatrical distribution the previous year. Not hilarious but quite amusing especially when voices like that of Jim Backus as the lead character or Frank Nelson as Forthright are used here. So if you're in the mood, Magoo's Jackpot is at least worth a look.
