- Saturday afternoon at the movies. Hannah going on a real date with Alex. She's just not sure if it's for her. She has no idea what the rules are, who pays?
Back as Belle, her next appointment wants the "girlfriend experience." Chatting and cuddling. This is the kind of girlfriend she can be. The dapper young executive comes in apologizing for being late, acting like they're a couple. Except then she does something in bed that not all girlfriends do. With her mouth. For a very long time. Another satisfied boyfriend.
After he's gone, a woman buzzes Belle's door. She asks to be let in, or she'll scream that Belle is sleeping with her husband. Up she comes. Belle has no idea who she is. She's Matt's wife. Matt? The woman says he just left five minutes ago. Oh, Tony, Belle realizes. The woman starts to pitch a fit, at the woman she thinks is her husband's mistress. Belle denies they were having sex but the wife says she was outside timing them. Belle tells the woman they have an arrangement. He pays her. The wife heads to the bathroom to ralph. "It's nice to know I have this effect on people," Belle says. She hears a small crash from inside the bathroom, but then Alex calls. She's mid banter in the real world when the woman whose husband she just finished servicing comes out with a bloody hand. Hannah quickly hangs up on Alex. Belle tends to her, offering tea. The woman asks if it's something weird he wants. Belle tells her it's just sex, not a real relationship like she and her husband have. The woman asks what would Belle know about any relationship, does she even have a boyfriend? And then she goes on, talking about her woeful life, stuck at home with twins, while Belle listens politely.
The woman insists on cleaning up the mess she made in Belle's bathroom. She asks Belle what men really want. Belle tells her about the man who likes to dress up as a tennis player to be played with, er, intimately.. The woman finds a specific spherical implement that vibrates. When Belle tells her what it is, the woman throws up again.
Bambi visits. She's brought Belle a thank-you purse. She tells her she's working with Stephanie now, so she has proper security. Belle tells her it's just a job, don't get swept up in the attention.
Hannah talks to Ben, telling him about the wife's visit. She tries to cajole him into getting a drink, but he has to get home to Vanessa.
Belle calls Alex and hangs up on him abruptly for the second time in as many calls. She's just returned home to see Matt/Tony waiting outside. He asks her what she's done.
She takes him inside and explains that his wife saw him come in. She didn't have a choice. He freaks out that eight years of marriage are over. He gets upset, sitting down and venting to Belle about his relationship problems. He asks Belle to hold him. She looks at him, blankly. If he wants to be there, he'll need to... he takes out his checkbook. She consoles him over the break-up of his marriage --- again using her mouth. But she keeps imaging his wife standing over her and gets distracted. She stops abruptly, telling him he needs to talk to his wife. She'll refund his money, but she can't see him anymore. "What, you're breaking up with me?" he whines. "We were never together!"
Alone again, Hannah wonders how people manage real relationships. This is why she shouldn't go anywhere near them. She calls Alex, asking if she can come over.
She goes to his place. She tries to tell him she can't be a girlfriend as he sort of ignores her. She wants to be friends, but he wants to do things to her that he doesn't want to do to his friends. She tells him she is a very private person, and he says why would anyone really want to know everything about somebody anyway? He tells her not to run scared. She thinks about it. He kisses her and she points out that she's trying to break up with him. "Tough," he tells her, "you can't always get what you want." He wins.
After, she has to run to be on time. Her boss is very punctual. Her 9:30 also wants the girlfriend experience. Lying in bed watching movies. Nice, she thinks. As she waits for him, Alex calls again, saying he hopes she's thinking about him. Hannah smiles.
