The director of this film got me a screener copy, it's an extremely interesting movie which follows a group of kids in their 20's who are hardcore video gamers. At first you think the film is about video games, but actually it's about their generation.
There were so many things I could relate too, but something that stuck with me was when Spyker spoke about growing up.
"Every generation before us had to fight for food, shelter and survival; everything that made up life for them, we had handed to us on a silver platter!" And what do they do with such opportunity? They play video games and complain about life.
The movie itself is not typical in anyway, it turns from live action into a video game, it is interrupted by a Blue Screen of Death, there are scenes that are purposely missing making fun of computer games which are often released unfinished! The lead characters break the fourth wall and talk about what a horrible movie it is! For an independent film, the acting is superb. Maybe the best I have ever seen in a low budget film. Looks like Brea is already breaking out with Heroes, John-Michael who also directed was amazing, Matt Crabtree stole every scene he was in, Kei and Adama were also great.
