Good for younger kids...
planktonrules23 February 2009
This is a nice example for younger kids about cyber bullying is. First, you see a scenario where a kid who is supposed to be another girl's friend actually takes pleasure in humiliating her using the cell phone camera. Then, after talking with dad, the girl realizes that the nasty girl and her friends are jerks and the film ends with her apparently hallucinating.

For younger kids, it illustrates it well and might be good for spurring on discussions of the problem. However, for kids much older than about 10 or so, I wonder if perhaps kids might just laugh at the little girl and her problems instead of empathizing with her. In other words, older kids (especially the normally cynical middle school aged kids) might side with the bullies. I have taught middle school and that's exactly what many would do! Now I am not saying that the film is bad--but it just has a very specific age range and won't do the job with older audiences.

Cute and well done. It's good for younger kids.
