- Heidi's sister Holly reaches out to Lauren, forcing both Lauren and Heidi to reconsider what happened to their friendship.
- We begin at Speidi's place, where we learn that Holly wants to go out, but Heidi has to work the next day. Holly brings up the possibility of hanging out with Lauren, but Spencer is quick to forbid fraternizing with LC as long as Holly is living under his roof. Crotch grab from Spencer as he exits. Holly misses Lauren. Clearly, she's torn.
At work at People's Revolution, Lauren discusses with Whitney how things have gotten better with Audrina with just the normal ups and downs of a friendship. Surprise, surprise! Lauren gets a text from Holly which says that she'd love to see Lauren. Lauren is reluctant given her past with Heidi, and she claims that she doesn't want to cause more problems. She tells this to Whitney in her raspier-than-normal voice that is apparent throughout the episode.
Over with Audrina at Epic Records, we learn that the White Tie Affair will be having an Epic-sponsored show in LA. Helping to organize the event is a big deal for Audrina, and she has to be focused and responsible. But after the event, she gets to be the Epic girl at the after party.
Holly decides to disobey mighty Spencer and fraternize with Lauren over lunch. Well, it didn't really seem like Lauren ate, and Holly already had her food when Lauren arrived, so maybe it was just lunch for Holly. After agreeing that they both look pretty and that they both missed each other, Lauren tells Holly that she can call her any time she wants to chill.
On a date with Justin Bobby, Audrina updates him that things are better with Lauren and Lo, and they're all trying to make an effort. Justin Bobby thinks that Audrina is really good at accepting people again. She accepted Justin Bobby again, but the situations are like apples and oranges. Audrina tells JB about her big White Tie Affair event, and he says that he will be there if it is something that will benefit her. With that and a wink, Audrina is led to believe that Justin Bobby will at least make an appearance.
Back at the girls' house, and after a strange discussion about teabags, Audrina invites Lauren and Lo to The White Tie Affair. Audrina tells them that Justin Bobby has been super supportive, and Lauren fills Audrina in on her lunch with Holly. Audrina offers Lauren a profound statement about love and life: Sometimes friendships are even harder than relationships. Deep, Audrina. Very deep.
Finally, the White Tie Affair show has arrived. After shots all around with the president of Epic, the band starts playing, and they all look really sweaty from the get go. Lauren, Lo, and Stephanie arrive, and Stephanie appears to love the band, as evidenced by her arms-up dancing. Lo, on the other hand, doesn't seem like she's having all that great of a time. Seems like it takes a lot of effort to please Lo. But where is Justin Bobby? He's not at the show yet.
Over at Speidi's apartment, Holly claims to be looking for jobs. She tells Heidi that she went to the bistro with Lauren. Heidi is none too pleased. After all, Heidi is Holly's best friend and her sister, and Heidi didn't tell tell her about her plans with Lauren. Where is Holly's loyalty? Spencer and Heidi love talking about loyalty. It's their favorite! Holly tells Heidi that she was mostly there for Heidi's benefit. She can tell that Lauren misses Heidi.
The White Tie Affair is still sweating during their after party. Stephanie loves a good nipple piercing, and she secretly had her tongue pierced once. Not a secret any more, Stephanie. Lo points out that Justin Bobby still isn't there. Way to be a buzz kill, Lo. Once again, Audrina has been let down by Justin Bobby.
The episode concludes with a montage of debriefing. Audrina confides in her co-worker about how she gives, gives, and gives, but that Justin Bobby never gives back. She thinks that he needs to not play Mr. Cool Guy all the time. Lauren fills Stephanie in about her encounter with Holly, and Steph thinks that it's scary that Holly lives with them. Heidi emotionally unloads to a coworker about how unfortunate it was how things ended, and that maybe they'll be friends again one day. It seems as though Heidi is finally allowing herself to mourn the loss of their friendship. Lauren establishes that she misses Heidi too! After all, you always miss a best friend. So true, Lauren.
