Peter Jacobson and Hugh Laurie in House (2004)

Goofs

House Divided

House

Edit

Continuity

The ice cream containers change position between shots at least once, without anyone moving them, around the time House figures out that the problem is the patient's heart.

Factual errors

Seth "tears out" his cochlear implant. This is impossible, The external apparatus comes off easily and the internal implant cannot be removed except with another surgical procedure.
Chase activates Seth's cochlear implant soon after surgery. In reality, activation of a CI cannot happen until two to four weeks after implantation.
Zolpidem, the name on the bottle of medication prescribed to House by Wilson, is known as brand name Ambien and Ambien CR. On House's bottle it is directed to be taken three times daily, and the dose is a 200mg pill. Ambien is dosed at 10mg and Ambien CR at 12.5mg, and is only to be taken before bed.
At activation of Seth's cochlear implant, various ambient sounds are depicted that he can suddenly hear. This plus various statements inferring that an implant would make Seth hearing gives a false impression of what a CI can do. While it gives someone a sense of hearing, the result is far from what a person with typical hearing can hear. Try listening to a CI simulator audio clip and see if you can recognize sounds. Seth would remain deaf even after a CI. Yes, he would be able to hear some, but it would not make him a hearing person nor cure his "handicap", as House put it.
At 7:05 in, there's a close up of the sleeping pills Wilson prescribed for House. The label says Zolpidem (Ambien) - a widely used hypnotic type sleep aid. But the dosage instructions instructs to take 3 times a day for 10 days as though it was an antibiotic. Also, Zolpidem is normally available in 5 mg and 10 mg tablets. The bottle label shows 200 mg per tablet. Oops.
