Sean J. Vincent, Dan Peters and Rick Wilde really did run a record label called Sonic-Hub Records and the office in the film was really Rick's studio. Rick really is Kim Wilde's brother and he did write most of her hits. Sean and Dan are both producers and sound engineers who also make dance music in various acts including 'The Long Firm' as seen in the film.
Several music industry figures have cameos: Kim Wilde plays herself, Normski plays himself, and Joel Edwards from Deepest Blue plays the gun man. Tony Hadley's daughter who is an up and coming actress plays Tony's barmaid in the film too.
