Stéphane Caillard in Episode #2.1 (2021)

Goofs

Episode #2.1

War of the Worlds

Edit

Continuity

Alien is aiming with rifle and then shot Micah. Regarding distance and Micah moving, he turned his rifle in way too wide angle.
When Tom invites him to go with them to confront the aliens, Bill replies "With my knees, you'd have to carry me." In previous episodes, he had walked a great distance to get the centre of London, without any obvious difficulty.
In the opening scene, inside the craft, when Emily reaches out to touch the alien's hand, she is wearing glittery nail varnish. A minute later, when she breaks contact and holds her hand to her face, her nails are clear.

Factual errors

The astrophysicist states that the signal is coming from 30 AUs (astronomical units) from Earth and that that is "beyond the edge of our system". 31 AUs from the sun would place the source of the signal just past the orbit of Neptune and not outside of the solar system.
Bill says (of the aliens) "They have unique mutations in their DNA. It seems to affect all of them." If the mutations affect all of them, they are, by definition, not unique. If he means a mutation that is not found in humans from Earth, that is hardly surprising but still not unique. He should have said 'unusual'.
