Instead of seeing Jane struggle and Rochester begging her to stay, we get them laying down and kissing. It's so bizarre to be faithful to the book the whole series then completely change things up in the last episode. The writers wanted to tone down the Christian elements of the book, and as Jane saw staying with a married Rochester as sinful and wrong, they cut her rejection of him in favour of her making false promises to 'think about it'
