So far so good, and I like the story and the action, but something is wrong. the character development is lacking, especially now it's ep13, please improve it in the future

Kamen Rider Saber follows the life of Touma Kamiyama, a young novelist and bookshop owner as he is drawn into a fantastical battle between warring knights, featuring fairy tale settings, dangerous monsters, and all while and meeting a myriad of characters along the way.
Kamen rider Saber is the second Reiwa Era Kamen Rider series and as such you can feel the show trying to find its identity. If you are familiar with Kamen Rider the first episode feels a bit like W or OOO tonally, but it shifts into a tone that reminds me of Kamen Rider Wizard and Super Sentai (please don't be scared off by that comparison though!)
Right now we are a little early into the show's run (I am writing this just a couple hours after watching the fourth episode), so it is difficult to gauge the overall quality of the show, however currently the show has a lot of potential, but is being held back by odd pacing and an upsetting overuse of stock footage.
The main strength of the show as it stands over the writer's previous contribution to the franchise (Kamen Rider Ghost) is the characters and acting. While the characters are still a bit flat everyone has defined personality traits, and no one feels too similar to anyone else. The actors seem like they are having a lot of fun, and in particular I quite like the actor for Touma.
I am a fan of the suits and fights, but this is obviously down to personal taste so your mileage will vary.
This show has a large focus on CGI, I was initially put off by this, and while I would have preferred more practical effects the CGI has frustrated me a lot less than expected, for some reason it just isn't bothering me as much as in other entries of the series. I've seen other people mirror this sentiment, but again your mileage will certainly vary.
The biggest issue in the show is likely the pacing. The show dedicates around 3 full minutes of its 22 minute run time to its "last time on" sequence, opening theme, ending theme, and "next time on" sequence. The show also uses VERY long stock footage for the transformations (think Super Sentai or Power Rangers roll calls), these happen multiple times an episode and can easily eat up around a minute of the episode. These can be irritating but no more so than in Sentai, if you already know Sentai roll calls bother you I doubt these will be any different. It is worth noting though these will likely be toned down somewhat as the show goes on, we've even already seen them skip two transformation sequences in episode 4 to save time.
The plot pacing in this show can be pretty rough, things just sort of happen, and sometimes things just don't happen... Episode 2 is a good example of this, it feels as though the whole episode is spent on fight scenes yet somehow there is also an overbearing amount of exposition, this makes the pace feel all over the place, feeling overwhelming yet somehow uneventful.
At this point is may sound like I am being quite negative about the show, so it's time for the plot twist... I LOVE this show.
Beyond all reason I have found myself completely enamoured with Kamen Rider Saber, and almost none of its issues really bother me very much. It is hard to pinpoint what it is about the show that has me enjoying it so much, but something about its presentation, writing, and tone are just amazingly enjoyable to me. I can't say for sure if this is simply a matter of personal preference or if there is some inexplicable quality to the show that makes it better than the sum of its parts.
As it stands I would suggest anyone hesitant to watch this show to give it a chance, and not to give up on it too early. The last couple episodes have felt like they are speeding the show towards some form of early plot progressions and I am expecting the show to be a very fun ride.
A 7/10 was the highest rating I thought was reasonable to give this show with it's current flaws, if the show improves or my enjoyment fades I may change this number and provide an update.
TL;DR: Give it a chance, and see what you think. After many consequences of people, there's quite a few argue saying this series was like a sentai typical things and flew off to be a boring series. Well, don't make me wrong just because I've stated my point of view. Since then, all people should agree with their own.
First thing first, the first arc of the series became faster as it try to catch some characters development or some new characters that will join in the series. Just get to the point that the writer or maybe the producer really try their best to give some conclusive chances for this series to shine.
Second, when the 2nd arc started, it just getting more to a mere excitements when the protagonist get into a conflict with the other swordsmen after rider espada dies and rider calibur 2nd user dies. As he in a big trouble, the writer make a move for the 7th swordman to appear which happens to be a veteran whom once sealed before.
All I try to state in the 2nd arc was that the swordsmen rider will try to battle the master of logos and both of his companies who happens to lay their eyes down on the swordsmen.
*Despite a lot of criticism, the plot start to exaggerating more after those actors start to act more than a complete comical personality
I don't have any idea if you could get it or not but this series still deserve to get some hopes just so it didn't flop like ghost or wizard. Plus, some statement saying that this series item were sell too much or too fast, yes, I kind of agree with it.
Just keep it mind that this is just a fiction story that didn't encounter on any biography's life of reality in history tales before. If you find these statements a little benefits then you are pleasure to share some personal point that could actually favor this up more.

This feels like a sentai series not Kamen rider. Most of the characters are unlikable and just didn't care for the story an stopped after episode 6. Maybe I'll come back and finish it but after reading more reviews I didn't miss much.

Idk why am i the only one who get the vibes of super sentai or am just imagine things its like it looks more of super sentai then kamen rider it like henshin in super sentai and their transformation theme not kamen which I hated the henshin with background is bad really bad i loved watching shuriken sentai or samurai sentai thats why am so confused even the first episode wasn't like the others prev kamen rider idk man it just doesn't feel like am watching kamen rider anymore if u agree with me on this but if u know anything please help me because am really lost here because there is a new sentai which looks like kamen rider

Few things I really like about Saber is its ambitious storytelling, thus I really love the concept of Knights,Stories and stuff. And hey, dont forget about the series having extremely good visuals, rider suits. Both are intricate and aesthetically pleasing. Talk about the long henshin sequence and battles are well...very well-choreographed^^

the series however has some flaws(?) e.g. The pacing especially in the early episodes, can feel a bit rushed as it introduces the expansive lore of the Wonder Ride Books. And the characters are a bittt too much that'll find the viewers overwhelmed but thats thats.
But despite those considerations, Kamen Rider Saber.has very captivating take on the franchise, because you can feel the power of imagination, pays homage to classic literature(stories)
so lets say that. Saber is a journey worth embarking on.

The worst Kamen Rider season yet

A bad season doesn't deserve a spoiler tag, edited for grammar and detail.
This is was the worst season of Kamen Rider yet. The characters were shallow parodies who belong in shounen anime. The cast is very unlikable and never charge into better people by like the other seasons. The worst of the cast are the incest oni-sama brother and sister duo who bloat an already oversized cast. They are meant to appeal to fat horny 20+ okatu who jack off to SAO. The incest siblings get too much screen time and are shoehorned into crossovers for no reason.
The plot moves at a snail's pace and when it does need to move forward. It pulls the heroes victory out of its butt. While typical in Shounen anime/manga, Kamen Rider rarely does this without a proper explanation. Its villains are not much better as they are all typical manga/anime bad guys who just want to rule or destroy the world depending on the current arc villain. The only good character in the show was the purple Kaijin who doesn't have a human form and even then he was introduced way too late and killed off early in favor of the more shallow cast members.
You miss out on nothing if you pass over Saber and skip directly from Zero-One to Revice. Even if you watch the crossover specials. The Saber cast do very little as their nothing more bland flesh props who do little but shout out lame attack names or act as walking cliches and steal screen time from better characters.

I'm a Kamen Rider audience from Kamen Rider Black until now and I don't think Kamen Rider Saber is a Kamen Rider because it's more like Super Sentai, I'm not saying it's bad because the writing is what makes Kamen Rider Ghost stories, honestly I don't watch Kamen Rider Ghost because a lot of bad reviews about it but after watching kamen rider saber i know it's true, honestly i really like kamen rider because of the story and the actors, maybe kamen rider saber is the last kamen rider i watch for now.
Honestly, I didn't finish Kamen Rider Saber because it was boring, I think Mei Sudo's character is very annoying and noisy. Honestly, I don't think Kamen Rider needs an ending song, because Kamen Rider is already good without an ending song.
What makes Kamen Rider good are the stories, actors, and themes.

The story feels rushed and full of plotholes, it almost like they knew how to start and how to end the story but confused about how to fill the middle part of it.
Too many characters and stuff? Maybe try to learn Ryuki, it well executed.
Some forms only shows up in a few episode and poof! It's gone, even not existed in "Final (Basic) Form"
The only part that is done well is their choreography, the fight looks cool tho.
Overall, this series is just like their insert song of the series. "Rewrite The Story"

I'am not a haters but yeah, to be honest don't really enjoy this series so much, but if you want to enjoy it don't take this series to seriously and enjoy it with all of the fun. I try it but i can't, this series is just not for me and become boring and boring. And the writing is just lazy.

Wow just wow i can't speak again when talk about this series is ugly as the ghost one, i just can't understand why does people said that this series was better than ghost?its the same for me.
I have a lot of issues with this series esspecially touma the main charracter, he just bland, no development and almost make me fell asleep while watching this series. Rintaro is just some usseles crybaby. Kento is the better one for the character but his arc is suck. Luna is just plot device and Mei is the only one that carry the whole damn show. I don't want to talk about the other character because no one of them is memorable or even likeable.the only good about this series is maybe the insert song. The ending doesn't make any sense at all.
And now here comes the main issue, the writer. Yes the writter is the main issue of this series because it's the same one that write ghost and what make me more mad is the fact that the writter is not writting the whole series and he just run again like what he did to ghost. I have lost my respect for the writter.
About the gimmick i think it's just hit or miss thing because this show doesn't know want to use book or sword as the main gimmick but if they use sword especially elemental some people think that this series is just copycating Kimetsu no yaiba?well i agree with them because ghost did the same thing when yokai watch toy is take over the toy line rank.
In the end, thanks saber you just wasting 1 year.
