When Lemon and Ladybug are fighting in the "quiet" car, Lemon tries to get the magazine for his gun, but the gun is loaded in one shot, then unloaded in the next.

Wolf stabs his knife into Ladybug's shoulder and they both fight their way into the passenger compartment. When Wolf removes the knife, nothing is attached to it. In the next shot, Ladybug's phone is suddenly attached to the knife - to which Ladybug exclaims in amazement: "you stabbed me?!"

After the Kyoto station stop near the end, on longer camera angles the train is seen traveling on both the right side track and left side track.

When Ladybug and Tangerine are in a fight Ladybug kicks the emergency exit, launching out the side door of the train. Later on when Tangerine is kicked out of the train by ladybug and makes his way and jumps back on the train the door is intact again.

After Lemon finds the gun in Prince's purse, when the camera is looking at Lemon the hair-tie balls are in front of the hand grip by the trigger. But when the camera is looking at Prince, the hair-tie balls are at the back of the hand grip by the hammer.

The Yakuza are routinely depicted as being armed with, and using, guns. In reality, the Yakuza, and other Japanese criminals, almost never use guns (Japan averages fewer than ten gun homicides nationwide in most years). The incredibly strict gun laws in Japan mean that it's just not worth it for even professional criminals like the Yakuza to use firearms. Even possessing an illegal gun, without a link to any other crime, can lead to a hefty prison sentence.

However, it's been stated that "Japanese criminals, almost never use guns", which means that it does sometimes happen. The film depicts a time when it happens.

On a couple of occasions the train is shown taking rather tight turns at a high rate of speed. The N700 Shinkansen travelling at cruising speed (250 kph) needs a radius of 2500 meters to remain safe and stable.

The effects of boomslang venom are shown to be haemorrhaging and displaying severe bleeding, yet the characters refer to the venom as causing 'coagulation' which would actually do the opposite - inhibit bleeding. In reality, boomslang venom does the opposite of coagulation by inhibiting coagulation and promoting bleeding, but less spectacularly than as displayed in the film.

The train is traveling in excess of 200 kph with a shattered windscreen in the front car and numerous gaping holes in the sides of the following cars yet there is very little wind inside any of them.

The train begins its journey from Tokyo at night and arrives in Kyoto in the morning. In reality, all bullet trains on the Tokaido line start running at 6am and stop running by midnight. There are no overnight trips.

The train from Tokyo to Kyoto is heading south. When the sun rises in the morning, during the last half of the film, it should appear on the left side of the train when looking in the same direction of travel. Instead, it shows on the right side of the train, from the west.

A Mercator projection map, the school room standard, makes it look as though Japan is oriented north to south. This is generally true but the direction of Kyoto from Tokyo is actually Southwest and the direction of the latter part of the bullet train route, Hamamatsu to Nagoya is Northwest. So East, where the sun rises, is on the right hand side.

White Death tells Ladybug that he bought all the seats until the end of the line, which the film suggests is Kyoto.

The end of the line for the Tokaido Shinkansen is Shin-Osaka. No bullet train services terminate in Kyoto.

The actual end of the line for the N700 bullet train which services the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines is much further down the line in Hakata.

Misunderstanding the film's suggestion to be Kyoto does not make it a Goof. They were all going to Kyoto but there was no suggestion that it was the end of the line.

The movie train starts in Tokyo and travels to Kyoto. It starts at night time. Later in the movie the sun rises. One shot from outdoors, the train passes from right to left with the Sun in the background. The Sun rises from the East. That would mean the train is moving from South to North not the North(Tokyo) to South(Kyoto) of the story.

When Lemon is fighting with Ladybug, around 40:40. Lemon is using the table to cock the pistol, he's pushing with a barrel, that is immobile in that gun, and he should be using the slide, to do it.

The first time The Elder sheaths back his sword it is covered in blood. Next time he unsheathes his sword, it has no blood on it.

The HST is filmed on a stage with lights in the windows to make it look like the train is moving. This is so because after 45 minutes, city lights are still passing in the windows when at that speed they would have left the Tokyo\Yokohama city area and have farms outside.

The movie is set in Japan, yet the emergency vehicles have American sirens.

Riders of the escalators in the fictional Tokyo Station stand on the right. In Tokyo (and in most of Japan except the Kansai region), people stand on the left on escalators.

The Prince tells the Father that the goon would put a pillow on the son's face. The son is ventilated with a tube directly going in his mouth. The pillow would have no effect on the breathing as it is done by the machine.

In the scene beginning at around 1:51, with the White Death again playing Russian Roulette, the first two shots show the cylinder rotating counterclockwise from the shooter's perspective. However, before the last shot, when he manually cocks the gun, the cylinder is seen rotating in the opposite direction.

The sparkling water bought by Ladybug was "Sen Yen". 1000 yen is roughly £6 sterling as of November 2022

At the 1:48:45 mark, as the train crashes into another train, Lemon can be heard saying "we're on the wrong track." but his lips don't move.

Obvious dummies falling off the roof onto Ladybug's car roof and off the motorbike during the car chase with the twins.

The fictional train is passing Mt Fuji after leaving Shizuoka. On the Tokaido Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto, Mt Fuji can be visible only right before stopping in Shizuoka, not after, and on the other side of the mountain from the film location.

The Wolf instantly recognizes Ladybug despite only very briefly seeing him from behind at the wedding.

Maria tells Ladybug there are 10 economy cabins when he gets on the train. When he is talking to her and looking for the case, he is doing the math to figure out how much luggage to look through he says there are 6 economy cabins.

Maria repeatedly corrects Ladybug when he tries to say saguaro. Ironically, she mispronounces it herself. She says it "suh-gwar-oh", but the "g" should be silent. An alternate spelling is s-a-h-u-a-r-o (no g).
