Diamonds Are a Boy's Best Friend
Hitchcoc13 May 2021
This episode involves uncut diamonds, a plane crash, and some rock climbers. After one of the climbers is killed, his safety rope cut, the word is "why." When an uncut diamond is found it is realized that this may be at the center of things. Charlie losing his FBI standing is at the fore here and so it must be dealt with as Don's life is in danger. It's a good episode with some plot stretching and some stupidity, but the characters are engaging. Also, Lou Diamond Philips makes another appearance.

Stupid decisions ruined this episode

Warning: Spoilers
I wanted to like this episode, but they kept doing stupid things and it was too distracting. When they're in the woods and Eppes knocks out one of the bad guys and shots are fired, the rest of the crew hear the shots and...run away? Are they taking lessons from the Parkland cops? I mean, they were right there! They were close enough to hear the shots, they should have run toward the shots. But instead they returned to their cars.

Then, when Eppes and the climbers are hiding in a tree, the bad guys walk under them and don't see them. Instead of waiting at least 10 seconds for the bad guys to walk further away they immediately climb down. It was so incredibly predictable that one of them would make a noise. What kind of dumb writing is this? The further along this series goes the less believable it is. Maybe they've lost funding? and had to hire cheapo writers?

same old boring crapola

Rob morrow's contribution as per usual is yelling fbi fbi fbi or go go go ... not too hard to memorize those difficult lines ... they should have made diane farr the office honcho because she acted more like a real fbi agent than the rest of the cast ... snoring through this one
