Melinda leads the search for a scheming on-line sexual predator after a ghost's avatar climbs out of her computer into the real world, forcing her to become a ghost hunter in the machine.

A ghost who's managed to recreate himself in a gaming world threatens Melinda when she tries to determine who he is, and when a young girl is threatened by an online predator in the same game, she and Eli find themselves in a race to find her before the unthinkable occurs.—layle

Ned fixed the shop's computer and shows Eli James the video-game he installed on it, but when game-ignorant Melinda watches, she discovers an avatar, Phoenix, who is linked to a real ghost. Ned and Eli sleuth in the arcade, identifying Alise Jones as the girl whose avatar is key to this virtual haunting. It turns out the ghost isn't threatening Alice, but protective, being her late father Larry, who fears an Internet predator.—KGF Vissers

Ned introduces Melinda to online gaming, where she discovers a ghost disguised as an avatar, the ghost is then sucked out of the computer and after some confusion he runs away. Later Melinda enters the virtual world, where she meets the ghost again and they get into a big fight; she realises that this ghost is rather protective of one particular gamer. Later Melinda and Eli find out that some man is luring young girls through the use of the video game, and fearing for the young girls [the gamer] safety, the hunt is on to find out the motive of the cyber ghost.
