This is an excellent episode of Cold Case.
1) Cassidy Freeman (herself a Middlebury grad) plays a Harvard grad who plunks herself down in urban Philadelphia as part of her Teach for America commitment.
2) she is mysteriously killed in 1991.
3) this becomes the Cold Case.
4) one of her old students comes in asking that the case be re-opened.
5) the investigation and flashbacks begin, and Freeman is terrific in her guesting role.
6) the regular cast excels as well.
7) the plot is terrific.
