This telecast, taped in New York, was the first time that ''I've Got a Secret'' appeared in color rather than black-and-white. Sadly, only black-and-white kinescopes remain of its lone color primetime season.
With this telecast, ''I've Got a Secret'' changed time slots. Instead of being aired on CBS Mondays at 8 PM Eastern, as it had for four years, the show moved to Mondays at 10:30 PM Eastern. The time slot change, among other factors, would cause this to be the last season of ''I've Got a Secret'' in primetime.
The first regular color show of the series; however, as with What's My Line? (1950), all surviving shows from this season only exist in black-and-white kinescope form.
The kinescope of this show has been lost to history.
