Earlier this season, in Weight Loss (2008), Holly's whiteboard reveals the eight remaining Dunder Mifflin branches. Rochester, NY, was NOT identified as a functioning branch, yet Michael is slated to give a lecture there.
When Michael and Pam are driving in the car near the end, palm trees can be seen in the background, identifying that this was filmed not back East, but in California.
