Character error

Vincent Nigel-Murray first states that conjoined twin births occur 1 in every 85,000 births, then states that there have been approximately 600 sets of conjoined twins in the last 500 years. Calculating in that half of all conjoined twins are stillborn and 1/3 of those that are born die within 24 hours, for there to have only been 600 sets of living twins would mean that only 306 million people have been born in the last 500 years.
While spouting unrelated facts, Vincent says that the word 'Abracadabra' was first used to treat hay fever. The word is ancient and so it is unknown what it has been used for and when exactly it became popular, as no Aramaic sources survived. Vincent likely alluded to the fact that the first written account links the word to medicine (by Quintus Serenus Sammonicus), but the amulet with the word 'Abracadabra' was believed to aid in case of malaria, not hay fever.
Vincent Nigel-Murray uses the term "begs the question" incorrectly, something that a well educated person like him wouldn't do.
