Great music, great actors, bad story

Warning: Spoilers
The music and talent are top notch. It plays well with the podcast style format. Honestly, I revisit the soundtrack regularly because I enjoy it so much. That said, the story is super toxic.

Spoilers.

Jace over and over through the musical sets a boundary that he is not interested in talking to Judith. At the start of the story he is at a location Judith is not supposed to know the address to.

Judith breaks that request by showing up unannounced to the cabin, guilts her way inside and guilts and manipulates Jace into doing the 36 questions. Towards the end he says in no uncertain terms, "leave me alone, I do not want to see you again" as he drives away. Judith's response is to yell "what am I supposed to do, give chase?"

The end of the musical frames Jace in the wrong for leaving and Judith does little to accept any blame for her actions that put the events in motion, lying about her identity for their entire relationship/ marriage.

Ultimately, if this story were reversed, the creepy behavior of Judith would be much more clear and Jace would be seen as he truly is, a manipulated spouse trying to escape their emotional/ psychological abuser.
