Synopsis

  • San Francisco, two months ago. A man speaks Russian on the phone to a woman, telling him the effort to rescue her son failed. They just need another $5,000. He tells her where to wire it. A woman in the office flirts with him while he's on the phone. A man comes over and tells Sergei he should have tried to milk her for more. And he tells him he's lucky not to be a gulag like his friends. Sergei returns to flirting with the woman, who then pulls a badge and a gun.

Sergei Milashek enters the program as Sergei Mijnic.

    Present Day

Marshall reads Sergei the rules as he makes eyes at Mary. She tells him, seductively, that he's a real "steaming pile." It doesn't quite translate.

Back at Mary's house, Brandi looks for her stuffed bear and packs her things. She pulls out her suitcase o' coke and one of the bags dumps on the floor. She picks it up and rubs the coke into the carpet.

Mary's super excited to take her to the airport. On the ride, Brandi says that she thinks everything going to be OK with her. Turns out she just watched "The Secret." Mary tells her it doesn't work that way. "We're monkeys strapped to a rocket, the only way to exert any influence is by working, really, really hard," Mary clarifies.

Brandi gets out, thanking Mary for the plane ticket. Mary tells Brandi she doesn't have to go back to Chuck. Brandi urges her to forgive Raph.

Mary drives off. Brandi walks out of the airport and hails a cab, apparently not planning on checking a suitcase full of blow.

Mary goes to visit Tasha, who is excited to introduce Mary to her new boyfriend. They pull up and see her making out on her porch. They notice it's Serge. "Should have seen that coming," Mary says.

Serge leaves and Tasha brags about him. They met through a dating service. Tasha is now working at a Hooters-style restaurant called "Headlights." She gets full medical, dental and 401k. She's using the fake boobs she got as part of relocation deal to live the American dream.

They leave. Mary calls Stan to request two emergency relocations. She assumes Serge is duping Tasha. Marshall finds it sort of sweet.

At the Desert Sands motor inn, Brandi waits for a call on a disposable cell phone. Chuck calls and tells her to wait for a visit from Russell who will then bring a guy named Spanky to complete the transaction. She's nervous about her first big time drug deal.

At Serge's apartment, he raves about his girlfriend. Mary pumps him for information, to make sure their stories match. They do, but Mary doesn't seem happy. There's a knock at the door. It's Tasha, bringing back his laundry. He cooked for her. Mary and Marshall try to hide, but find no way out. They end up in the bathroom, about to blow their own cover.

Mary hopes Tasha will play it cool and pretend she doesn't know them. She greets them by name and asks what they're doing there. So much for "cool." Tasha and Serge connect the dots, realizing just how much they have in common.

Tasha is thrilled they no longer have to lie to each other but Mary cuts them off, calling Stan. He shows up and is really impressed his agents comprised their witnesses.

They try to figure out what to do, relocate or boot someone. Mary goes in to find out what each knows. She logs onto Serge's computer and copies his files, certain her witness is in the right.

Marshall guards Serge by playing video games with him.

Mary tries to tell Tasha the situation is potentially dangerous. Inside, Serge tells Marshall his first thought when he met her was "Is Russian girl here to kill me?" He decided she was so sexy he didn't care.

Tasha begs Mary not to separate them. Mary says it's not up to her.

    Mary grabs Serge's copied files.

Stan talks to someone above him, who accuses him of trying to cover his ass, which is pretty much what he's doing.

Tasha comes in and tells them she'll leave the program before she leaves Serge. Neither has testified yet. They demand to stay together or they won't testify. Stan, on the fence already, caves.

At the office, Marshall is upset Mary has violated his witness' privacy by downloading Serge's computer. She finds that the files are encrypted and wants to send the flash drive to IT. Marshall grabs for it like it's the last cookie in a jar. Stan breaks up the fight, calling Mary off. A message pops up on screen telling her her computer has just been fried. Stan tells her she crossed the line and got what she deserved. Any expense to fix her computer is coming out of her pocket.

At the motel, Brandi waits nervously. A man shows up. "Please don't be Russell," she repeats to herself as he approaches. It's Russell. Brandi goes to his room, where his trippy girlfriend is hanging out. They promise her E and massages but she's not exactly feeling at home.

She goes to the bathroom, wondering aloud what she's doing there. The shower curtain is pulled and she hears a noise behind it. It's a baby, lying on a towel.

Cut to Mary, going to the dating service. She says she's into Eastern Europeans. The woman thinks she has someone and goes to get the file, leaving Mary to steal from her second computer in a week. She prints Serge's file. The woman comes back with his photo and when Mary asks why he hasn't been snatched up, she says he's a bit of a player.

Mary goes to Tasha's. She doesn't want to hear it. Mary shows her the print out from the dating service, proving he's gone out with four other women since they met. Serge comes out of the shower and Tasha confronts him, but a few smooth lines about them being able to tell each other the truth now and those women meaning nothing and she's apologizing to him for accusing him. Mary looks on in disbelief.

At the office, Mary tells Marshall she's decided to leave them alone, some people just have to learn on their own. She notices Marshall's suspicious lack of gloating. He sent the flash drive to IT where they discovered Serge is running some sort of Internet scheme. "I love you like an $8 whore," Mary tells him. "I'm sure you mean that in a good way," he says.

Back at the motel, Brandi goes back to Russell's room where his girlfriend overhugs her. Russell tells her she's early, Spanky won't be there for another hour. Russell starts laying out a huge line. Brandi gives him a sample of the coke, as Chuck told her to. She asks to use their bathroom again. Brandi brings the baby her teddy bear, saying that her sister Mary gave him to her when she was five.

Brandi says a teary good-bye. "If your parents ever give you any advice, you should do the opposite, OK?"

M & M go over the 4,000 Web sites from Serge's computer, most innocuous-sounding. Then they find SexySerge.com. It features photos of women in lingerie - including one of Tasha.

M & M try to reach Tasha. She doesn't answer. ("Do you answer the phone during sex?" Marshall says; "It depends what's on TV," says Mary). At Tasha's house, they run into her bedroom where they're just getting started. Before Tasha can protest, Mary logs onto Serge's site and finds his webcam, explaining that he was selling video of them having sex. Tasha is naturally displeased.

Back at the Desert Sands, ATF and cops pull up, sirens blazing. They drag out Spanky, Russell and creepy girlfriend - but not Brandi. She sits across the street in a cab, watching to make sure that someone got the baby, and his teddy bear. When they do, she asks the driver to pull away.

Mary listens to Tasha try to recover. "How can anyone ever trust anyone with their heart?" Tasha asks. "I don't know," Mary says, "I wish I did."

Cut to Raph at home. There's a knock at his door. It's Brandi. She's crying. He hugs her. Brandi still has her suitcase full of coke.

Mary tells Tasha she'll be relocated again. Marshall leads Serge away, handcuffed.

Mary goes to Raph's house and lets herself in with her key. Oh dear. She comes up behind him on the couch and sees Brandi asleep with her head on his (clothed) leg. She walks out.
