- Nabil, sentenced for murder, is released after 15 years due to his terminal cancer. He learns that he has a daughter he never knew about and decides to leave her his share of the loot from the robbery that put him behind bars.
- Nabil Ibrahim is in prison for murdering a police officer and doesn't expect much from life anymore: he has terminal cancer. For humanitarian reasons, his public defender Stoffenburg arranges for him to be released early after 15 years. In the short time that Nabil has left, he wants to at least get one thing right: his share of the loot from the robbery should go to his ex-girlfriend Cora, who now lives in a remote provincial town and a filthy apartment. There, Nabil experiences a surprise: Cora has a 17-year-old daughter named Juju, who doesn't know her biological father. If it's up to Cora, it should stay that way. However, Nabil is keen to get to know his child in the short time he has left. Juju - beautiful, smart and hungry for life - is just as interested in the mysterious stranger. She too wants to finally know who her father is and finds out the truth. The two of them set off together for Berlin, where Nabil wants to cash in on his former accomplice Ivo. He neither adheres to the code of honor nor feels any obligation to his dying "brother." In order to get the money for Cora and Juju, Nabil has to pull the strings with Ivo. He still knows how to do that. But he has little time left.—ADR Das Erste
