A six-part television series premiered on Finnish television in August 31, 1994 on Pikku kakkonen (1977) at Yle TV2 channel.
The Keitele canal in Central Finland had just opened in 20 May, 1994, three months prior the series premiere. The series was shot in June-July, 1994.
A Finnish musician Juice Leskinen wrote and performed original music and songs for the series. The songs are not officially released on an album. Leskinen himself (who had a boat in Lake Päijänne at the time) makes a cameo appearance in the last episode, along with Pablo Seppä (who also appears in the series "Kokkelivekkulit" with Ransu in 1994-1995).
