This movie, originally titled, 'Ybor City and made in 2013' is the story of two senior men and the difficulties and uncertainty experienced in dating from what seems the 1960's to current times.
In a nutshell, it is a sweet story, presented as a documentary with cinematic flashbacks to show the stories of their experiences. This is not a nudity filled sex movie, though suggestive in scenes.
On the positive side it is a nice story that weaves toward romantic. Where I found it a bit disappointing is that I actually wish it covered more territory on the subject of gay history from the prejudice, to the hard times during the AIDS crisis and the disenchantment of growing up gay. I also wish the documentary section covered the stories of more men than just two to show all types of struggles or experiences, especially for a film originally entitled, 'Ybor City,' a bustling modern-day gay community in Tampa.
Regardless, it still works in parts and some of the actors handle their scenes very well. The stand out star of the vehicle (though everyone but the senior actors only have small snippets of flashbacks) is Michael Ivan Navarro. He had a naturalness and beautiful look that should have made him an up-and-coming actor with more exposure and opportunities.
Though not listed on this page, it was directed by Danial Stedman.
