Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis in Due Date (2010)

Goofs

Due Date

Edit

Continuity

The license plate of Ethan's rented car changes states as the trip progresses.
The movie shows Darryl bumping his car two times in a drainage ditch when peter sits beside him and Ethan sits behind. If watched properly, it can be clearly seen that both the bumps are actually one and the same, just the angle of shooting has been changed.
The release form that Peter signs in the airport office disappears from one shot to the next.
When Ethan falls asleep, there are high-voltage power lines on the right side of the road. But when Ethan and Peter crash, the power lines are on the left side of the road.
In the Grand Canyon scene, when Peter confronts Ethan about his wallet, in one scene Peter is wearing his sunglasses. The next shot of him, he isn't wearing his sunglasses. We do not see him take off his sunglasses at any point.

Factual errors

The Mexican police would never have followed them across the border into the United States since it is out of their jurisdiction.
On almost all major highway border-crossing between NM and CA there are check-points form the Department of Agriculture with mandatory stops for all vehicles crossing into CA. It's highly unlikely, the guys would have made it past this control, especially given the fact that they were driving a truck blazing "Aduana Mexicana"-paint scheme and flashing light-bars.
A dog would not be allowed in a prenatal care centre.

Revealing mistakes

The baby's due date would fall between October 25 and November 21, depending on when in February Sarah got pregnant. However it does not appear to be autumn in the film. The foliage does not appear fall-like and weather appears to be warm, more consistent with spring or summer.

Miscellaneous

When Peter and Ethan leave the hotel to have money wired to them, Peter sits in the driver's seat yet his license is in his misplaced wallet.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

At 34:04 in the movie Ethan is opening a bottle of Coke, however the sound effect you hear is from a Coke can being opened.
In a couple scenes when the camera is looking over Peter's shoulder, the words Peter is saying does not match the movements of his jaw.
When the Air Marshall shoots Peter with a rubber bullet, the gun (a Beretta 92fs) makes a silencer sound instead of a proper gunshot.

Crew or equipment visible

After Ethan accidentally shoots Peter, they pull over. Ethan runs out of the car, pleading for Peter not to panic and the camera's shadow can be seen on back of the truck.
(around 54 min) Camera momentarily reflected on the side of the Range Rover.

Errors in geography

Just before Ethan and Peter wreck the Impreza, supposedly riding west on I-20 into Dallas, you see a sign "Dallas 36 Miles". Mountains are in the background. The nearest mountains like these are 500 miles west. There are no such mountains in the Dallas area, or anywhere in Texas outside of the southwest part of the state.
While driving from Hartsfield Jackson Airport in Atlanta, you can briefly see Turner Field Baseball Stadium on the left side (driver's side) of the car. That would indicate that they would be traveling towards the airport, not away from it.
At the beginning of the movie, the main characters are being dropped at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) in Georgia. However, the scenes inside the building correspond to LA/Ontario International Airport, in Ontario, California (ONT).
During both the scene where they wreck the Impreza (in Dallas) and the chase scene with the Federales (in El Paso), you can see freeway exit signs for Roadrunner Blvd. That is because both scenes were filmed in the same area in Las Cruces, NM.
As they are crossing into CA on I-40, a small "Welcome to California" sign can be seen on the side of the road. The border between California and Arizona is actually the Topock gorge on the Colorado River and drivers cross into CA over the very high Topock Bridge.

Character error

At the gas station, Peter tells Ethan to drive the Range Rover because he's on Vicodin and can't operate heavy machinery. But we see him take the pills at Darryl's house and he's driving the Range Rover in the next scene.
Peter says their first stop is Shreveport, Louisiana. Their stop along I-20 is in Madison Parish which is 150 miles from Shreveport.
Ethan tells Peter that he is 23 years old in the beginning of the movie. This was after Ethan had rented the car. You almost always have to be at least 25 years of age to rent a car, making an already very unbelievable lie even more unbelievable.
