Binghamton is up to his same old tricks when he closes the town to all personal after Ensign Parker goes into one of his slapstick adventures. With the town closed and Parker in the brig, McHale and the town's Mayor have to find a way to make Binghamton reopen the town and release Parker.
Anyone knows that Binghamton likes fame, so McHale convinces the Mayor to erect a statue to Binghamton in the main square. This of course changes Binghamton's mind about the town he changes his order. But there is one conflict still needing to be resolved. Parker is in jail and McHale, with the Mayor's help, can only think of one way to get Parker released.
The best part of the episode came when Binghamton is thinking about all the fame he will receive when news of the statue gets back to the States. But other than that it seemed to be rehashed story with just a different setting. The ending seemed a little wacky but may had been the best ending to this routine performance. Just was not that impressed.
