Curiosity Unpacks the Balls and Unleashes the Raft
WeatherViolet19 August 2010
First, Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund takes center stage as he guards the lobby of Building 7 with his fine talents for guarding, for finding lost items, and for detecting squeaky noises, such as the hinge on the entranceway, which the Doorman oils because of his pet's keen sense of detection.

But Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund considers his most important job to be protecting the place from Curious George.

Now, one day when the Doorman applies oil to the hinges, he removes his uniform jacket and hat to place upon the coat rack in order to keep things clean.

But when a delivery arrives for apartment 217, the Doorman carries it upstairs, forgetting to reapply his uniform, and learning that the 217 tenant collects and sells autographed balls.

Upon returning to the lobby, the Doorman discovers Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund's attempting to curtail Curious George from playing with the oil drum, causing Curious George to squirt the Doorman's last clean shirt, which he must quickly rush to the cleaner's, leaving Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund in charge of the lobby.

Well, an entire shipment of packages arrives for the ball collector in 217, and Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund tries his best to prevent Curious George from unpacking the valuable souvenirs, and tossing them about the lobby.

So, will Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund be able to persuade Curious George to restore the collection into its prpper containers before the Doorman and the tenant in 217 arrive to discover the mess which has been created by "Curious George, Door Monkey?"

Next, after a busy week in the hustle and bustle of the noisy, smoggy, traffic-filled City, the Man with the Yellow Hat decides to chauffeur Curious George into the Country to feed the ducks at the pier beside the river.

But before they begin to feed the ducks from a sack of corn grain, which they carry to the raft, Mrs. Renkins rushes to the pier to announce that five chicks have run off, causing Mrs. Renkins and Tracy the Hen a lot of grief to ponder their safe return.

Well, naturally, the Man with the Yellow Hat rises to the occasion to search for the five chicks, while Curious George continues to feed the ducks from the raft with the sack of grain.

But, when Curious George unwittingly unleashes the raft, Jumpy Squirrel tries to warn him from a tree that ducks are swimming all around him, as the raft floats down the river even though the title says, "Up the River," but anyway, Jumpy Squirrel loses his balance and lands upon the wayward raft with Curious George and the sack of grain and the Brown Duck who gets caught in the sack of grain.

Now, when the raft heads straight for a waterfall, the white ducks swimming around its sides fly off, to leave Jumpy Squirrel, Curious George, the sack of grain and the Brown Duck who gets caught in the sack of grain, as Jumpy Squirrel and Curious George search for landmarks such as the docked boat, the crossed trees, Duck Rock and what appears to resemble Mrs. Renkins' Silo, to identify their path.

So, who will save the day for Mrs. Renkins, Tracy the Hen and five little Chickies, the Man with the Yellow Hat, Curious George, Jumpy Squirrel, and the Brown Duck who gets caught in the sack of grain once "Curious George Goes Up the River?"
