As bad as we expected

Although the first act looks promising, the movie falls apart and ends up being one of the bunch.

With a promising start, where it seems that the story is going to go elsewhere, it ends up falling into all the known cliches and makes it very predictable. The things to highlight are the performance of Sofía de Llaca, some jokes that do work, the attempt at the beginning to make a different plot that later is not achieved and the songs work correctly in the situations where they are needed. At a certain point it becomes slow and cyclical, the editing looks like a music video, the photography is not very remarkable although it tries to be, there may be an abuse of music at a certain point in the film, some performances are bad, some characters don't add much to the story and there's not much chemistry between the leads.

It does not innovate in the genre of romantic comedies, neither contribute in anything different from what is already known from the stories of modern Mexican films, perhaps it becomes a little more remarkable than others but ends up falling into the predictable and forgettable.

No, porque me enamoro follows Daniela (Sofia de Llaca) as she tries to find love with the man of her dreams, the famous Gabo Gabeau (Emiliano Zurita). Daniela is a classical nerdy character with braces. She is accompanied by her best friend Joanna (Sheryl Rubio). These are two characters that you want to root for! They are so funny and portray the friendship you would always want. Then comes along Gerardo (Roman Tores), who works with Gabo. It basically becomes a crazy love square!

I highly recommend this movie to watch on a date or with your friends. You'll be laughing or smiling the whole time from start to finish. The movie is only 90 minutes and I promise you won't fall asleep. Definitely watch this!
